How we chose the best points hotels in Paris
We considered several important factors when deciding on the best hotels in Paris to stay at with points. First, we wanted to make sure that the hotel was well-reviewed by guests who have stayed there before. This was determined by cross-referencing hotels across multiple popular travel review sites.
Second, we wanted to find hotels with minimal fees such as resort fees, Wi-Fi fees, and other charges. Luckily Paris is a city that doesn’t tend to charge the pesky resort fees we have in many U.S. tourist destinations.
With those factors in mind, here are 10 of the best hotels in Paris to stay at for free using points.
Park Hyatt Paris – Vendome
Conveniently located in the heart of Paris’ shopping district is the Park Hyatt Paris – Vendome. This hotel will put you within walking distance of most Paris sights like the Louvre museum, the Arc de Triomphe, and the Rue De La Paix. The hotel is located in a historic building, which has been renovated with contemporary design.
Reviewers often used the word “perfect” to describe everything from the location to the decor of the rooms. In fact, over 80% of the reviews on TripAdvisor rate this hotel as five stars. According to guests, the staff treats you like royalty, which is something we have come to expect from other Park Hyatt hotels. This beautiful Paris hotel is no exception.
It’s a premium category 7 Hyatt property, meaning it costs 30,000 Hyatt points per night. This hotel consistently prices at $750 per night.
But beginning March 2020, Hyatt will make available peak and off-peak award rates. For off-peak dates, you’ll spend 25,000 points for this hotel. For peak dates, you’ll spend 35,000 points.

Another premium Paris hotel that you must check out is the Prince de Galles, A Luxury Collection Hotel. With 1,000+ reviews on TripAdvisor, this hotel maintains an impressive 4.5-star rating. Many reviewers particularly enjoyed their traditional French breakfast each morning. The inside of the hotel is filled with classic French decor so you never forget where you are.
The hotel is directly adjacent to the famous Champs-Elysees, meaning you can walk almost anywhere, including the Eiffel Tower.
This is a Luxury Collection Hotel, which is one of the top-notch Marriott hotel brands. The Marriott award chart prices each hotel according to category. This is a Category 8 hotel, meaning you’ll normally pay 85,000 points per night. You can book this hotel for 70,000 points during off-peak dates, and 100,000 points during peak dates.
Rooms here sell for ~$900 per night, so 85,000 points is a nice deal.
Hotel Indigo Paris Opera
Folks traveling with kids should check out the Hotel Indigo Paris Opera hotel for a family-friendly hotel option in Paris. This hotel is located in the quiet and safe Right Bank. It is settled in its own arcade for convenient shopping and easy foot access. The 500+ reviewers on TripAdvisor gave Hotel Indigo a 4.5-star average rating.
Guests who have stayed here appreciated its close proximity to many metro stations, making it easy and convenient to go almost anywhere in Paris. The hotel staff is very accommodating at explaining how to use the metro to visit your various sights.

Hyatt Regency Paris Etoile

Jasmin stayed at this hotel during her last family trip to Paris and loved it. The building has been recently renovated, which provides newly refreshed decor and furnishings. Many rooms have a stunning view of the Eiffel Tower, and the hotel is just a short walk away from the Champs-Elysees.
As a Category 4 hotel, you can stay at the Hyatt Regency Paris Etoile for just 15,000 Hyatt points per night. Coming March 2020, Hyatt will begin to publish peak and off-peak prices. During off-peak dates, you can reserve this hotel for 12,000 points. During peak dates, you’ll need 18,000 points.

Hotel Fabric
The Hotel Fabric is a trendy boutique hotel in the heart of Paris. If you want to be whisked away in Paris’ modern culture, this hotel is one to try. You won’t find many hotels that have managed to maintain the impeccable rating that Hotel Fabric has. Out of 1,500+ reviews on TripAdvisor, this hotel still has an average rating of five stars. There isn’t a single one or two-star review!
Reviewers said that the rooms are very spacious for a Parisian hotel, and it’s very hip and trendy, while still maintaining a modern French vibe.
Hotel Fabric is a locally owned boutique hotel, so you can’t redeem chain hotel points here. Fortunately you can redeem Capital One miles for a free stay. This hotel normally costs ~$300 per night. The Niepce Paris Hotel is a Curio Collection hotel by Hilton. This hotel is centrally located in the city, on a quiet street near the Montparnasse train station. This makes it easy to access from the Charles de Gaulle airport.
The Niepce Paris Hotel is a small boutique hotel with only 52 rooms. This means you can expect very personal service from the hotel staff. TripAdvisor rates this hotel 4.5 stars with 100 reviews. The guests rave about the quality of service and appreciate the newly renovated rooms.
If you want to experience Paris from a small local hotel, while still enjoying the perks of elite status and points earning from Hilton, then this Curio Collection hotel is perfect for you!
As a Curio Collection hotel, you can use Hilton points to stay at this hotel for free. There is no Hilton award chart, so you’ll have to check your particular dates to see how many points you’ll need. The Niepce Paris Hotel costs as little as 45,000 points per night. And with The Hilton Honors American Express Business Card, you can earn these points quickly.
While searching for award nights, I found that there was no standard room availability unless I was searching for a stay of at least four nights. Something to consider for sure!
Waldorf Astoria Trianon Palace Versailles
One of the must-see attractions while visiting Paris is the Palace of Versailles. The Waldorf Astoria Trianon Palace Versailles is the perfect spot for a stay while visiting this magnificent site.
This luxury hotel embodies the spirit of Versailles by its matching exterior facade and interior decor. The building is situated on an eight-acre park which borders the Palace of Versailles. Folks with Hilton elite status might be able to receive an enhanced view room upgrade (when available) which overlooks the Palace and its intricate gardens.

For luxury accommodations in the heart of Paris, consider the InterContinental Paris Le Grand. This is a historic hotel built during the reign of Napoleon III. It’s located across the street from the Opéra Garnier and right next to the Paris Velodrome (Paris town square). The rooms have all been renovated with each room highlighting the life of the Opéra.
Highly rated by guests, this hotel proudly earned a 4.5-star rating on TripAdvisor with over 3,400 reviews. Reviewers comment about the incredible location and the views offered from the rooms. It is hard to find a hotel more central to downtown Paris than this InterContinental hotel.

Holiday Inn Express Paris-Canal de la Villette

Right along the canal, this hotel offers stunning water views from many of its rooms with lots of cafes and local shopping to explore.
The nearby metro station will take you into the center of Paris in less than 10 minutes. TripAdvisor rates this hotel four stars with 1,300+ reviews. Most guests appreciate the location and family friendliness of this hotel.
