The increased sign-up bonuses on the Chase Ink Business Cash Credit Card and Chase Ink Plus small business credit cards are back!

For a limited time, you’ll earn 60,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points (worth $750+ in travel) with the Chase Ink Plus after completing the minimum spending.

And you’ll earn 30,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points ($300 cash back) with the Chase Ink Cash card.

Chase Ultimate Rewards points are great for Big Travel with Small Money whether you transfer the points to airline partners like United Airlines and Southwest or to hotels like Hyatt.

Remember, to qualify for these cards, you do NOT need millions in revenue or even employees.  I’ll explain more in a bit.

With the Chase Ink Cash, you’ll earn 30,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points ($300 cash back) after spending $3,000 on purchases in the 1st 3 months of opening your account. In recent history, this is the best offer for this card.

Put Some Cash Back in Your Pocket! The Sign-Up Bonus on the Chase Ink Cash Card Is Worth at Least $300

You’ll also get:

  • 5X Chase Ultimate Rewards points per $1 you spend (5% cash back) on the 1st $25,000 (combined) spent per year at office supply stores and on cell phone, landline, internet, and cable TV services
  • 2X Chase Ultimate Rewards points points per $1 you spend (2% cash back) on the 1st $25,000 spent per year at restaurants and gas stations combined
  • Primary auto rental insurance (CDW) when renting for business purposes, plus purchase and extended warranty protection
  • NO annual fee

The office supply store category is useful for much more than printer paper.  Places like Staples often carry gift cards and you’ll receive 5X Chase Ultimate Rewards points (or 5% back) on these as well.

You can pick up gift cards to restaurants, Southwest, movie theaters, and PIN-enabled gift cards that you can use to fund your Bluebird, AMEX Serve, or Target Prepaid REDcard account.  Here’s my post about how to pay your rent or HOA fees with those to get points!

Keep in mind, the Chase Ink Cash has a 3% foreign transaction fee, so it’s NOT a good card to use when you travel abroad.

Note:   If you also have a Chase Ink Plus, Chase Ink Bold, or Chase Sapphire Preferred card, you can transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards points earned from the Chase Ink Cash to airline and hotel partners like British Airways, Hyatt, and United Airlines!

With Chase Ink Plus, you’ll earn 60,000 Ultimate Rewards points after spending $5,000 on purchases within the 1st 3 months of opening your account.

You’ll also get:

The $95 annual fee is NOT waived for the 1st year.

60,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points are worth at least $750 for travel at the Chase Travel Portal!  This is great for folks who’d rather not fuss with finding award seats.  But instead choose to fly on any airline at any time.

Although I think it’s definitely worth it to use Chase Ultimate Rewards points for award flights, such as Business Class to Europe, that I’d otherwise wouldn’t want to pay for.  But do what’s best for YOUR situation!

You can also:

That’s potentially worth far more than redeeming your points for cash back or through the Chase Ultimate Rewards Travel Portal!

Note:   If you’ve recently signed up for either of these cards within the past ~90 days, you can always call Chase and ask them to match you to the current offer.  It never hurts to ask!

Build a Relationship With Chase

Chase has changed its approval policies for cards that earn Chase Ultimate Rewards points.  These are NOT hard and fast rules, and folks report many exceptions.

Be Aware That Chase Has Changed How They Approve Some Applications!

That said, I noticed some new language in the terms & conditions for these cards.  Chase says:

Chase cardmembers who currently have or have had a Chase credit card in any Rewards Program associated with this offer, may not be eligible for a second Chase credit card in the same Rewards Program.

Chase cardmembers currently receiving promotional pricing, or Chase cardmembers with a history of only using their current or prior Chase card for promotional pricing offers, are not eligible for a second Chase credit card with promotional pricing.

In short, Chase reserves the right to not approve folks who gobble up the sign-up bonuses then pretty much never use the card again.

This reminds us it’s important to keep a good relationship with the banks.  Use your cards beyond the sign-up bonus for their great perks and spending category bonuses.  And don’t just stick them in your sock drawer after you’ve earned the welcome offer.

For this reason, the Chase Ink Cash is a great card because with no annual fee, you can easily keep it and use it for many years.  Especially for the 2X points at restaurants!  🙂

But I Don’t Have a Big Business!

The Chase Ink Cash and Chase Ink Plus are small business credit cards.  You might qualify for a business card even if you don’t realize it!

Are you a dentist or consultant, or do you sell real estate?  Maybe you help folks with home repair, do freelance design or photography, or coach a local sports team?  Even if you’ve just opened a business, you could be eligible.

You’re NOT required to have a business EIN (Employer Identification Number) to qualify for the card.  You can apply as a sole proprietor using your Social Security Number.  As long as you’re looking to make a profit, you should be able to get a small business credit card.

As Long As You’re Aiming to Earn a Profit, You Can Qualify for a Small Business Credit Card

If you already have the Chase Ink Plus, you can still get the Chase Ink Cash for the same business or a different one.  Although, it can be difficult to get both on the same day unless it’s for a different business.  You can get both cards because Chase considers them to be different card products.

So even if you have the Chase Ink Plus, the Chase Ink Cash might be helpful if you’ll go over your 5X bonus category limits on the Chase Ink Plus.  Or if you want a business card that offers 2X points on restaurants.

If you have trouble getting approved, you can call Chase and ask them to reconsider your application.

And keep in mind Chase posts your sign-up bonus on the billing statement following the completion of your minimum spending requirements.

Bottom Line

The sign-up bonuses on the Chase Ink Cash and Chase Ink Plus small business cards have been increased for a limited time!

You’ll earn 30,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points ($300 cash back) with the Chase Ink Cash, and 60,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points with the Chase Ink Plus after meeting minimum spending requirements.

Both of these bonuses are 10,000 points higher than usual!
