And you’ll earn 100,000 Hilton points after you make $3,000 in purchases within the first 3 months of opening the AMEX Hilton Honors Surpass card.

I’ll share the details. And give you some ideas for using Hilton points!
AMEX Hilton Cards Get a Limited-Time Upgrade
A year ago, we saw the AMEX Hilton cards come with the highest sign-up bonuses they’ve ever offered. Now, the best-ever AMEX Hilton sign-up bonuses are back. And one of them is even higher (though the minimum spending requirement is higher, too).
I’ll remind you what to expect with each card. And give you some ideas for where to redeem your points!
Note: Hilton no longer has an award chart (yuck!). So you’ll have to check each hotel for the going rate.1. AMEX Hilton Honors

The AMEX Hilton Honors card has an all-time high sign-up bonus of 80,000 Hilton points after you spend $2,000 on purchases in the first 3 months of opening your account. Previously, the highest bonus was 75,000 Hilton points with a minimum spending requirement that was $1,000 lower.
80,000 Hilton points is MUCH more than enough for a stay at upscale Hilton hotels, like the Hilton Auckland. Or stay 4 nights at more budget-friendly hotel, like the Hilton Garden Inn Corlu, in Turkey. This card comes with:
- 7 Hilton points per $1 spent at most Hilton hotels
- 5 Hilton points per $1 spent at US gas stations, US restaurants, and US supermarkets
- 3 Hilton points per $1 spent on all other purchases
- Free Hilton Silver elite status (late check-out, 2 free bottles of water, and 15% points bonus on Hilton points earned)
- Free Hilton Gold elite status (free breakfast and better upgrades) after spending $20,000 in a calendar year
- Terms & limitations apply
This is also a good card because it has NO annual fee, and everyone should have a no annual fee card. They can help increase the average age of your credit accounts and potentially boost your credit score.
2. AMEX Hilton Honors Surpass

With this limited-time offer on the AMEX Hilton Honors Surpass card, you’ll earn 100,000 Hilton points after you spend $3,000 on purchases in the first 3 months of opening your account.
That’s more than enough for a night at a 5- star Hilton hotel like the Conrad Hong Kong, where Emily and I stayed. Or 7 nights at a less fancy hotel, like the Hilton Garden Inn Bali Ngurah Rai Airport.
Plus, you’ll now get a free weekend night certificate after the first anniversary date of card approval! The certificate is good at just about any Hilton hotel, with a few exceptions. You can even redeem it at expensive Conrad or Waldorf Astoria resorts, like the Conrad Maldives Rangali Island, which can cost $1,000+ per night.
This perk alone is worth paying the $75 annual fee for another year.
You’ll also get:
- Free Hilton Gold Elite status (free breakfast at certain hotels, upgrades when available)
- Free Hilton Diamond Elite status when you spend more than $40,000 in a calendar year (better upgrades)
- 12 points for every $1 you spend at Hilton hotels
- 6 points per $1 you spend at US restaurants, supermarkets & gas stations
- 3 points per $1 you spend on everything else
- Terms and limitations apply
Both of these cards come with foreign transaction fees, so they are NOT good cards to use internationally.

Note: AMEX only allows folks to earn the sign-up bonus for each card once per lifetime. So if you’ve received the bonus before, you will NOT get it again.Bottom Line
The AMEX Hilton Honors and the AMEX Hilton Honors Surpass cards have great new limited time offers through May 31, 2017!
These are the highest sign-up bonuses ever offered for either card. You’ll earn 80,000 Hilton points with the AMEX Hilton Honors, and 100,000 Hilton points with the AMEX Hilton Honors Surpass after meeting minimum spending requirements.
Plus, the AMEX Hilton Honors Surpass now comes with a free weekend night after your first anniversary. That’s a terrific new perk that could be worth hundreds of dollars.
If you haven’t received the bonus before on these cards, these are great deals to consider! Because the bonuses have never been this high. So this is a good opportunity to earn a lot of Hilton points!
Will you sign-up for either of these new limited-time offers?
