AT&T Introducing New International Calling, Texting, and Data Plan

Good news for AT&T customers!  Via One Mile at a Time, AT&T is (finally!) offering an international data plan that's competitive with other carriers, like T-Mobile and Verizon. This Friday, January 27, 2017, AT&T will introduce the AT&T International Day Pass, that allows you unlimited talk, text, and data in 100+ countries.  It will cost $10 per device for 24 hours of use. With AT&T’s New International Day Pass, It Will Be Easier and Less Expensive to Stay Connected While You Travel I'll share more about AT&T's new international data plan.  And show you how it compares to the international data plans from other carriers.

My Review of Maps.me: The Best Offline Map App!

When traveling internationally (or even domestically!), at some point you will be lost. Having an offline navigational map is a good idea for any traveler.  The directions aren't perfect, and you won't get live traffic updates.  Some roads may even change before your maps update! But they are much better than nothing!  At the very least, you have a picture of your location (just like a retro paper map!) to help you find your way. Maps.me is my favorite offline navigation app and works where there is no wi-fi or internet!  Thanks to Rapid Travel Chai and Travel is Free for telling me about it!  I'll give you the details.

Update on 12 Lounge Passes for $32.94 (+ Certified Mail Cost) With an AMEX Credit Card

Update:  From January 1, 2013 you are limited to only ONE lounge reimbursement per month, which greatly reduces the value of this offer. Don’t forget to follow me on  Facebook or Twitter! Link:  American Express Executive Privilege Club On March 1, 2012, I wrote about the Executive Privileges Club where you can potentially get up to 12 airline lounge passes (up to $50 each) or $600 total + 12 1-day gym passes (up to $25 each) within 1 year and have Big Travel with Small Money. The cost of joining the Executive Privileges Club is just $2.99  for a 2-month trial and $29.95 per year after that (which will be automatically charged to the card which you use to sign-up) for the full year of membership.  Add in a few dollars to send the receipts via certified mail for reimbursement. You can get up to 12 passes reimbursed per calendar year, so if you sign-up now, you can get up to 24 lounge passes for just 1 year's fee. I like airport lounges because I can get free wi-fi, comfy chairs to sit in, and a (relatively) quiet place to get work done.
