This is a final boarding call for the personal Southwest Chase credit card limited-time offers, which come with the Southwest Companion Pass AND 30,000 Southwest points (worth ~$450 in Southwest airfare) after spending $4,000 on purchases in the first 3 months of account opening:

These offers end February 11, 2019 – so this is your last opportunity to get in on the best travel credit card offer so far this year.  You’ve never been able to earn a Southwest Companion Pass with a single welcome bonus before, and getting one of these cards can translate into major cost savings if you make the most of your pass.

With a Southwest Companion Pass, a friend or family member you designate flies with you on paid and award flights for nearly free (just pay the cost of taxes and fees, ~$6 one-way for domestic flights).

Everything to know about the Southwest Companion Pass

There’s not much time left to take advantage of the personal Southwest Chase credit card limited-time offers, because they end February 11, 2019.

These have been incredibly popular with our readers (and Million Mile Secrets team), and it’s for good reason.  With any of the Southwest personal Chase credit cards, you’ll earn the Southwest Companion Pass AND 30,000 Southwest points (worth ~$450 in Southwest airfare) after spending $4,000 on purchases in the first 3 months of account opening.

I’m currently working on meeting the minimum spending on the Southwest Rapid Rewards Priority Credit Card to unlock the Southwest Companion Pass (the #1 deal in travel).  Keith’s wife picked up the Southwest Rapid Rewards Plus Credit Card the first day it came out, and has already met her minimum spend.

Keith and Liz Are on Their 5th Year of Having the Southwest Companion Pass – They’ve Gotten Over $10,000 Worth of Flights From the Deal

Earning a Southwest Companion Pass from one card is an unprecedented and incredible deal.  When you have a Southwest Companion Pass, anyone you designate can fly with you on paid and award flights for just the cost of taxes and fees.  And you can use it an unlimited number of times for the duration of the pass.

Keep in mind, the Southwest Companion Pass you’ll earn from these cards is promotional – so it’ll expire December 31, 2019.  That’s still plenty of time to squeeze a ton of value from the pass.

All 3 cards have the same welcome bonus, but they differ in perks and annual fee.  Here’s a quick rundown:

For most folks, the Southwest Rapid Rewards Priority Credit Card will offer the best value because it comes with numerous perks that can more than offset the annual fee.  But really, you can’t go wrong with any of these cards.

Keep these rules in mind before you pull the trigger on an application:

  • The Chase 5/24 rule applies to all the Chase Southwest cards, so you won’t be approved if you’ve opened 5+ cards (from any bank, excluding certain business cards) in the past 24 months
  • You can no longer have more than one personal Southwest card at a time – so you’re not eligible if you already have a personal Southwest credit card (even a different version)
  • Even if you don’t currently have a personal Southwest card open, you’re not eligible if you’ve earned the bonus on any personal Southwest card in the past 24 months.
  • If you have the Southwest Rapid Rewards Premier Business Credit Card (which has a completely different offer), you are eligible for the personal Chase Southwest cards (as long as you meet the rest of the criteria above)

Bottom Line

There’s very little time left to apply for the personal Southwest Chase credit card limited-time offers because they end on February 11, 2019.

With any of the cards, you’ll earn the Southwest Companion Pass AND 30,000 Southwest points (worth ~$450 in Southwest airfare) after meeting minimum spending requirements:

The Southwest Companion Pass is the best deal in travel, because with it, a pal can tag along with you on paid and award flights for just the cost of taxes and fees.  And you can use it as many times as you want while your pass is valid.

Keep in mind the Companion Pass that comes with these cards is promotional, so expires December 31, 2019.

I can’t wait to start using my new Southwest Companion Pass to go traveling to fun destinations with my kids.  Where will you be using your pass?
