New Chase Ink Business Unlimited
Chase has rolled out a brand new no-annual-fee business card!
The Chase Ink Business Unlimited is a cash back business card with a sign-up bonus of $500 cash back (50,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points) after spending $3,000 on purchases within the first 3 months of account opening.
This card earns 1.5% cash back (1.5X Chase Ultimate Rewards points per $1) on all purchases! So it’s basically a business version of the Chase Freedom Unlimited® card, which is good news if you qualify for small business credit cards (it’s easier than you think!).
Here are the details.
Chase Ink Business Unlimited $500 (50,000-Point) Offer!
With the card you’ll also get:
- 1.5% cash back (1.5X Chase Ultimate Rewards points per $1) on all purchases!
- NO annual fee!
Thanks to reader Hussein for confirming this card is impacted by the Chase “5/24” rule. So if you’ve opened 5 or more credit cards from any bank in the past 24 months (except Chase business cards and certain other business cards), you’re not likely to be approved for this card.
But because this is a Chase business card, it won’t appear on your personal credit report (business cards from these other banks also don’t appear)! That means that it won’t add to your “5/24” count.
Is the Chase Ink Business Unlimited Good Deal?
The Chase Ink Business Unlimited card earns cash back in the form of Chase Ultimate Rewards points. Each point is worth 1 cent in cash back. So the $500 cash sign-up bonus is 50,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points.
This is an excellent bonus for a no-annual-fee card!
When you transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards points to either the Chase Sapphire Preferred or Chase Ink Business Preferred, your points are worth 25% more (1.25 cents each) toward travel booked through the Chase Travel Portal. And if you combine your Chase Ultimate Rewards points to the Chase Sapphire Reserve, they are worth 50% more (1.5 cents each)!
So your $500 bonus could be worth $625 ($500 + 25% bonus) or $750 ($500 + 50% bonus) in travel, depending on which other Chase credit cards you have! And your everyday spending could also be worth more toward travel. You could effectively earn up to 2.25% on all purchases if you have the Chase Sapphire Reserve card (1.5% earning with the Ink Business Unlimited X 1.5 for transferring to Chase Sapphire Reserve).
But your Chase Ultimate Rewards points could be worth even more! Because these other cards allow you to transfer them to valuable Chase travel partners. So you could transfer the bonus (50,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points) to an airline partner and use them to book 2 round-trip tickets from the West Coast to Hawaii!
Can You Get This Card If You Have Another Chase Ink Card?
We already know that you can earn the bonus on both the Chase Ink Business Cash and Chase Ink Business Preferred cards. So it’s very likely if you have one of those cards you can still be approved for the Chase Ink Business Unlimited.
But what if you already have both of the other Chase Ink cards? Could you still be approved for this new one?
As far as I know, there isn’t a rule restricting you from having all 3 Chase Ink cards at once. But just because you can be approved does NOT mean you will! Banks will only extend you a certain amount of credit based on several factors (credit score, income, etc.). So if Chase determines that your business doesn’t need (or qualify) for more credit, your application could be denied.
If you were recently approved for either of the other Chase Ink cards, I would suggest waiting before applying for the Chase Ink Business Unlimited. Because applying for too many Chase cards in a short period of time could trigger a financial review from Chase, which could lead to your accounts being shut down. And that is NOT worth the risk!
Chase has introduced the Ink Business Unlimited card! It currently earns a $500 bonus (50,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points) after spending $3,000 on purchases within the first 3 months of account opening.
That’s an excellent deal for a card with no annual fee. Plus, you’ll earn 1.5% cash back (1.5X Chase Ultimate Rewards points) on every purchase!
