INSIDER SECRET: Amex Offers are a way to stack discounts through online shopping portals because the discounts are applied after the purchases post to your account and very rarely require you to use a discount code which would invalid any rewards you earn through a shopping portal.
It’s time to check your Amex accounts to see if you’re targeted to earn an easy 1,500 Amex Membership Rewards points (or $15 cash back) at Amazon. I was targeted for the Amex Offer to earn 1,500 bonus Amex points, which I value more than $15 cash back.
To qualify for bonus Amex points in the future you’ll need a card that earns Amex Membership Rewards points, like one of these:

Targeted Amazon Amex Offers — earn bonus Amex Membership Rewards points
To earn the 1,500 bonus Amex points you’ll need to use your enrolled Amex card to spend $75 or more at Amazon through Nov. 15, 2019. You can meet the $75 threshold in multiple transactions. This offer is not valid for gift card purchases or any of the following:
- Amazon Local
- Amazon Mechanical Turk
- Amazon Web Services
- Amazon Home & Business Services
- Amazon Currency Converter
- Home Services
- Prime Photos
- Amazon Inspire
- Amazon Video Direct
- Amazon business
- Amazon Global
- Amazon Drive
I was targeted for this offer on The Blue Business® Plus Credit Card from American Express which already earns 2X Amex Membership Rewards points on every purchase (up to $50,000 per year, then 1X). There is also a similar targeted Amex Offer to earn an additional 2X Amex points (up to 1,500 points) at Amazon through Sept. 30, 2019. Since my Blue Business Plus card is eligible for both offers I’ll be able to earn 4X Amex points in addition to the 1,500 bonus points on my next $75 in Amazon purchases. Opportunities to combine Amex Offers with other deals and discounts is one reason why it’s a good idea to always have at least one American Express credit card in your wallet.
The Blue Business Plus is a great option to consider because it has no annual fee (see rates and fees) and, as an Amex small business card, it won’t appear on your personal credit report, so it doesn’t add to your (or any authorized users’) Chase 5/24 count.
