Fantastic Amex Offer: Earn up to 2,000 bonus Amex points at Amazon (targeted)
Signing up for credit cards through partner links earns us a commission. Terms apply to the offers listed on this page. Here’s our full advertising policy: How we make money.
Update: One or more card offers in this post are no longer available. Check our Hot Deals for the latest offers.
It’s time to check your Amex accounts to see if you’re targeted to earn up to 2,000 Amex Membership Rewards points at Amazon. If you’re eligible, you can earn 5x Amex points on qualifying Amazon purchases through July 22, 2020.
This is an Amex Offer, so you’ll have to login into your Amex account and add the offer to your card. To qualify for this bonus you’ll need an American Express card that earns Amex Membership Rewards points.
Unfortunately, that means you won’t be able to use many of the best Amazon credit cards for this discount. But it doesn’t matter because this is such an excellent deal for earning bonus points on purchases you probably already intend to make.

Amazon Amex Offers — earn bonus Amex Membership Rewards points
To earn the 5x bonus Amex points (up to 2,000 points) you’ll need to use your enrolled Amex card to spend at Amazon (or on the U.S. Amazon mobile app) through July 22, 2020. In order to earn the bonus points the transaction will need to post to your account by the expiration date. You also won’t earn the bonus points on any of the following purchases:
- Amazon Local
- Amazon Mechanical Turk
- Amazon Web Services
- Amazon Home & Business Services
- Amazon Currency Converter
- Home Services
- Prime Photos
- Amazon Inspire
- Amazon Video Direct
- Amazon business
- Amazon Global
- Amazon Drive
- Corporate gift card and custom-designed gift card purchases
If the Amex Offer shows up on The Blue Business® Plus Credit Card from American Express you could earn the 5x bonus points on top of the card’s 2x points on every purchase. The Blue Business Plus is a great card to have because it has no annual fee (see rates and fees) and, as an Amex small business card, it won’t appear on your personal credit report, so it doesn’t add to your (or any authorized users’) Chase 5/24 count.
