What is the latest Hyatt promotion and how to maximize it

It’s key you have The World Of Hyatt Credit Card to get the 25% points rebate, that way you can save the most. Additionally, to get the most value from your points, you’ll want to book higher-end category 6 and 7 properties, some of which we listed below. That being said, you’ll get up to 25% of your points back anywhere you book, making your free Hyatt stay even… freer.

Our guide on the best ways to use Hyatt points lists many international Hyatt properties, some of which may be inaccessible due to travel restrictions. Here’s a look at five Hyatt hotels in the U.S. to consider right now, all of which would make for a relaxing getaway and easier social distancing due to their (mostly) rural settings.

Great properties to book with Hyatt points

Ventana Big Sur

This stunning, adults-only resort sits atop a cliffside overlooking the Pacific Ocean and puts guests within easy access to everything that Big Sur has to offer. It’s an all-inclusive property, so even if you’re using points you’ll have access to amenities like meals, hikes, and outdoor fitness classes.

Nights here can easily run upwards of $1,900 or 48,000 Hyatt points per night for larger suites. But if you’re a Hyatt cardholder you’ll pay just 36,000 points for a free night with the current 25% rebate.

That’s getting a value of over 5 cents per point — and incredible deal given we estimate Hyatt points value to normally be around 2 cents each.

Base rooms cost 30,000 points a night and are priced around $1000 a night, with the rebate you’ll pay just 22,500 points.

Topping Rose House

The Topping Rose House is an SLH property that was added to Hyatt’s portfolio not too long ago. Guests have the privilege of staying in this beautiful 19th-century mansion that also happens to be the only full-service hotel in the Hamptons. With only 22 rooms and suites, you’ll get that boutique hotel feel while having access to a swimming pool, spa, restaurant, and easy beach access.

Standard rates here are either 40,000 Hyatt points per night or $800+ a night if you’re paying cash. But with Hyatt cardholders will only pay 30,000 points per night with the 25% discount.

Again, given that Hyatt points are normally worth 2 cents each, you’d get an above-average value for your redemption (2.6 cents per point) using points for an award stay here.

Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort

This particular resort seems to pop up on every Hyatt list — regardless of whether there’s a sale happening or not.

Nights at the Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort are $570+ or 30,000 Hyatt points per night, meaning you’d need just 22,500 points per night with the 25% discount.

At that rate, your points are worth 2.5 cents apiece — a great value, especially given how coveted this resort is. It’s hard to go wrong when there are four swimming pools to enjoy and plenty of activities to keep the whole family busy, like canoeing, guided kayak tours, and surf lessons.

Just note: Individuals traveling to Hawaii are required to get a valid COVID-19 test within 72 hours prior to your trip and show proof of negative result, to avoid a 14-day quarantine

Hounds Tooth Inn

Another SLH property on this list is the Hounds Tooth Inn, where you’ll be just a short drive from Yosemite National Park in the foothills of the Sierra Nevadas.

This quaint property only has 13 rooms, so you’re certain to feel at home staying here, especially if you snag a room with a mountain view or an ensuite fireplace.

During this promotion, Hyatt cardholders will pay just 18,750 points per night (rooms are normally 25,000 per night), which is a great rate for a hotel that usually charges $300+ per night.

Hyatt Place Moab

Lastly, I wanted to mention Hyatt Place Moab. Not because it’s a luxury hotel but because of it’s proximity to Arches National Park — a fantastic destination to discover this summer if you’re looking for a place where you can avoid crowds.

Nights here regularly go for $220+ or 8,000 Hyatt points. But with a 25% discount, you’d only pay 6,000 points. That means you’d be getting a value of 3.7 cents per point — a steal given Hyatt points are normally worth 2 cents apiece.

How to earn more Hyatt points

The best option for earning Hyatt points, especially given the current promotion, is to consider The World Of Hyatt Credit Card that gives you up to 50,000 Hyatt points after you meet tiered spending requirements:

• 25,000 bonus Hyatt points after you spend $3,000 on purchases in the first three months of account opening
• An additional 25,000 bonus Hyatt points after you spend a total of $6,000 on purchases in the first six months of account opening

But don’t forget you can transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards points to Hyatt at a 1:1 ratio. There’s no fee to convert points and transfers are usually instant.

This new promotion from Hyatt really wows, it’s just too bad it’s not easier to travel right now. Hyatt points are already some of the most valuable in the travel rewards ecosystem, and this promotion makes them worth up to 25% more. If you do feel comfortable traveling right now and can do so in a safe way, this deal should seriously be considered.
