When you book a stay of 2+ nights at any participating hotel, you’ll get the 2nd night FREE (including taxes & fees), if you use your Visa Signature or Visa Infinite card and make your reservation through the Visa Luxury Hotels portal or Visa Signature Concierge.

Wondering if you have a Visa Signature or Infinite card?  Check your Visa cards for the word “Signature” or “Infinite” under the Visa logo.

Lots of popular travel rewards cards, like the Chase Sapphire Preferred, are Visa Signature cards.

Your Hilton Stay Can Be in 2016 or Early 2017

You must book by December 31, 2016, and compete your stay by March 31, 2017.

In addition to the free night, you’ll get a $75 Visa gift card if you book by November 30, 2016, for stays through February 28, 2017.

Other perks of the deal include:

  • Best available rate guarantee
  • Automatic room upgrade (when available)
  • Free in-room Wi-Fi
  • Free continental breakfast daily

So it’s worth making your reservations sooner rather than later!

Is This Hilton Discount Good Deal?

This could be a great deal, especially if you already had a stay planned at one of the participating luxury hotels.

And if you already have a reservation at one of the hotels included in the deal, re-booking your stay to take advantage of the savings is a no-brainer.

Of course, the pricier the hotel, the more you’ll save.  But using this deal for a weekend trip or to extend an award stay could definitely be worth it.

For example, you could treat yourself and your family at the end of a trip to Disney World.

You could use hotel points or find an affordable hotel for the first few nights.  Then spend the last 2 nights of your trip at the fancy Waldorf Astoria Orlando.

This hotel gets excellent reviews on TripAdvisor, and is less than a 15-minute drive from Walt Disney World.

You Can See the Fireworks at Disney World From the Waldorf Astoria Orlando!

I found rooms here in November 2016, for ~$374 per night, including taxes and fees.

So using this deal, you’ll save nearly $375 off a 2 night stay.  PLUS, you’ll get a $75 Visa gift card, effectively bringing the cost of 2 nights to only $300 ($375 – $75), or $150 per night.

That’s a great deal for an otherwise pricey hotel like this!

And don’t forget, you’ll also get perks like late check-out, room upgrades, and a $25 food and beverage certificate.  This makes the deal even sweeter!

We’ve Enjoyed 3 of the Discounted Hilton Hotels

Emily and I have stayed a few of the hotels on the list, including the Waldorf Astoria Rome Cavalieri, Conrad Hong Kong, and the Conrad Maldives Rangali Island.  You can read our trip reports if you’re considering any of those hotels.

Want to Extend Your Hilton Stay?

If you want to stay longer but don’t want to spend a lot more money, you could use Hilton points to extend your stay.

Or, if you’re traveling with a friend or loved one who also has a Visa Signature or Infinite card, they could book an additional 2+ nights with their card.

And don’t forget!  You can use this deal in combination with Hilton’s current Double Up 2016 Promotion to earn even more Hilton points for your next trip.

Want More Hilton Points?

I’ve written about all the ways to earn Hilton points.

For example, you’ll earn Hilton points after completing minimum spending with the sign-up bonuses from:

Bottom Line for This Hilton Discount

When you use a Visa Signature or Visa Infinite card to book 2+ nights at select luxury Hilton brand hotels by December 31, 2016, through the Visa Luxury Hotels portal or Visa Signature Concierge, you’ll get your 2nd night FREE!  The deal is good for stays through March 31, 2017.

And if you book by November 30, 2016, you’ll also get a $75 Visa gift card if you complete your stay by February 28, 2016.

Plus, you can enjoy perks like a $25 food and beverage voucher and late check-out!

This could be a great deal for folks, especially if you already planned a stay at one of the qualifying hotels.

And if you already booked 2+ nights at one of the participating hotels, you can re-book your reservation to take advantage of the savings.

Depending on the nightly price of the hotel, this deal could save you hundreds of dollars!

  1. Is it counted towards Hhonor stay? Will Hilton recognize my elite status?

  2. I decided to cancel my 2 free nights in Maui using points at Hyatt and go with this offer at the Grand Wailea. Their price is $409 a night at Grand Wailea… so basically $200 a night for Maui with free breakfast AND $50 resort credit after it is all said and done… and hopefully the $75 offer will come through also. A few people have said the small print reads that it may not be combined with other offers…. I hope that it is!

We stayed here about 4 years ago and really enjoyed it. I like it better than the Hyatt and I can never find award nights at Andaz!!!

  3. Grand Wailea, A Waldorf Astoria Resort
    SAT, NOV 26, 2016 – MON, NOV 28, 2016

It doesn’t work. Shows the promotion, but the price is same as without it. No savings. Zero. Zilch. Nada.

  4. John, read the fine print. It says “Free night will be the rate for the last night of the stay inclusive of associated taxes and fees and will be ****deducted at the hotel upon check-out.**** “

  5. Can this be applied to multiple rooms?

  6. Thanks @Michelle. It seems risky. What if not? It’s $500+ per night. Are taxes, resort fees and other hidden/extra charges deducted as well?

  7. @John – I don’t know how it works with this promo but I can tell you that even comped rooms in Vegas at most properties are still charged the resort fee and resort fee tax. I would clarify with the Visa Concierge or the hotel manager of the individual property.

  8. I have the same fears as John. I booked 2 nights at the Waldorf Astoria Chicago for my wife’s birthday. I really hope that the charges are deducted as this is the ONLY way I can afford that stay.

  9. I tried for the Waldor Astoria Orlando, as we are visiting there anyway and I needed accommodations for our last 2 nights, October 27-29. Via the visa link, the amount per night was 718.00 for the second night free option, through Hilton Honors ( diamond status) the promo doesn’t show up and regular prices were around 330.00 I opened a chat, but that person could not help me and gave me 1-800-445-8667. The person on the phone couldn’t find any second night free promotions. So I haven’t booked anything. Too Bad would have been nice.

  10. I was looking for a way to book a few nights at the Grand Wailea, and we just took advantage of this deal – thank you for posting! When I checked out, the first night was $369 and the second was $469. Based on the wording in the promotion, it sounds like the $469 night will be comped, and we’ll just be charged the $369 plus taxes and fees. Does that sound correct? The confirmation email showed a total of $1000 and that it would be settled upon checkout, but I don’t know if I want to risk it if they don’t honor the promotion after the stay.

  11. Could you give an example of how to take advantage of Hilton points with this offer.

  12. I tried the waldorf in Dubai and the normal price is about $300-$400 a night but going through the VISA portal it more than TRIPLED the price! NOT worth it at all.

  13. Can you use this in conjunction with the one free night certificate from Hilton Honors Reserve Card?(which i a “signature” Visa card.) I.e. – book the first night with certificate and get 2nd night free?

  14. @Sophia – Yes folks have reported booking hotels through the Visa Luxury Hotels portal and earning points for their stays. I’d recommend calling the hotel to make sure your Hilton HHonors account number is attached to the reservation.

@John – The 2nd night will be subtracted from your bill upon checkout. So you won’t see the savings until after your stay. Also, the terms says taxes and fees will be refunded, which should include resort fees, but I’d confirm this with the Visa Signature Concierge. Hope this helps!

@Jasmine – The terms say “maximum one free night per room, per stay”, so you should be able to use it on separate rooms. But I’d confirm that with the Visa Signature Concierge when you make your booking. To be safe, you could also use another Visa Signature or Infinite card (if you have one) for the 2nd room.

@Mark – I’d suggest taking a screenshot during the checkout process, just in case. But you shouldn’t have any issues with the deal!

@JoAnna – You won’t see the discount until checkout, when the room charge, taxes, and fees, for the 2nd night will be deducted from your bill.

@Amanda – Yes that’s how it should work. If it makes you feel better, you can always take a few screenshots to show you booked with the promotion. But there shouldn’t be any issues!

@Musya – If you wanted to extend your stay at 1 of the hotels included in this deal, you could do so by paying for extra nights with Hilton points. If you need more Hilton points for a particular stay, read my post about earning Hilton points:

@Tim – It’s possible that certain rooms are sold-out for your dates. I checked a couple of nights in November 2016 and found rooms for ~$381 per night. But it could be worth calling the Visa Signature Concierge to see if they’re able to match the rate you’re finding!
