INSIDER SECRET: If you don’t qualify for a small business card, there are other personal Marriott credit cards that offer similar perks.  You can read more about them below.

With the Marriott Bonvoy Business™ American Express® Card, you can earn 75,000 Marriott points after you spend $3,000 on purchases in the first three months of account opening.

The points you’ll earn from the welcome bonus can be used for hotel stays worth hundreds of dollars, but that’s not all. While the AMEX Marriott Bonvoy Business credit card benefits are excellent, it’s just a single perk that prompted me to pay the card’s annual fee this year.

I’ll explain why the Marriott Bonvoy Business AMEX is worth the annual fee.

The Marriott Bonvoy Business AMEX is worth the annual fee just for the annual free night award.  You could use it at the newly renovated Marriott Orlando Downtown

With the Marriott Bonvoy Business™ American Express® Card, you can earn 75,000 Marriott points after you spend $3,000 on purchases in the first three months of account opening.

But here’s the reason I decided to keep my Marriott Bonvoy Business AMEX card for another year? The free night award! It basically makes the card’s $125 annual fee a no brainer (See Rates and Fees), without even taking into account the value of the other AMEX Marriott Bonvoy Business credit card benefits.

Free Night Award

The Marriott Bonvoy Business AMEX card comes with a free night at participating hotels requiring 35,000 Marriott points or less. You’ll receive this every year after your account anniversary. Depending on where you redeem your free night, this award can be worth $300 or more, and you can even earn a second free night when you spend $60,000 on purchases with the card in a calendar year.

Be sure to read our full Marriott Bonvoy Business review, and our rundown of the AMEX Marriott Bonvoy Business credit card benefits and perks.

I can’t find rooms where I want to go for less than 50,000 points.

Do they have a free card I can downgrade too when my time comes to renew?

really awesome, may Almighty Lord bless you…. keep in touch………..

“you can even earn a second free night when you spend $60,000 on purchases with the card in a calendar year.”

That would be an incredibly lame miles & points strategy, but yes it would in fact be possible

Agreed, for the average person it’s not worth the additional spending just for one extra night. $60,000 is a lot of money!

But for some business owners who run expenses through their card, and/or get reimbursed through their employer, this could be a nice added perk.
