How to set up a Marriott account in just 3 easy steps

When it comes to collecting hotel rewards, Marriott points are some of the most flexible. Not only can they be used to stay at over 7,000 hotels around the world, but you also can transfer them to airlines for award flights on 40+ airline partners.

The first step to take when it comes to earning and redeeming Marriott points is to set up a loyalty account. The good news is it’s free and easy. Here, I’ll show you how to set up your Marriott loyalty account online.

A step-by-step guide to setting up a Marriott loyalty account

Step 1. Go to the Marriott Website

The first step in opening a Marriott account is to go to Marriott’s website. Click on “Sign In or Join” on the right upper hand corner of the homepage.

From there, you’ll be redirected and have the option to either sign in with an existing account or to create a new profile. Click the “Join Now” button to register.

Step 2. Fill out the registration form

To complete the registration form, you’ll only have to enter a few personal details. Signing up for a Marriott loyalty account is far easier than getting an airline frequent flyer account. You’ll only need to provide basic info:

Your name
Zip code
Email
Preferred password

Make sure you enter your information correctly because you won’t have a chance to review it prior to confirming your account.

Once the form is complete, click the “Join” button to instantly create a Marriott loyalty account.

You also have the option of registering for a Marriott loyalty account using Facebook. Just click on the “Sign in with Facebook” button and you’ll be prompted to fill in your login credentials from Facebook. There isn’t much to it – you’ll be automatically registered for Marriott’s rewards program and you’ll just continue to sign in to Marriott using your Facebook profile from there on out.

Step 3. Confirmation

After registering, you’ll be taken directly to your Marriott loyalty account profile page. From there you can add your contact details and further manage your loyalty account.
