Hey, Daraius. I’m a little confused about MQM’s. I can see that they are used to reach perk levels with Delta, but it also sounds like they can be combined with regular miles to purchase airfare. So if I have 70K of regular Delta miles and 10K of MQM’s, do I actually have 80K of usable miles? Thanks!

Million Mile Secrets

Unfortunately, you can’t use Medallion qualifying miles to book award flights. This is a separate bucket of miles that tracks your progress toward Delta elite status.

Was going to go for this card but rolled the 5/24 Dice on the Chase Ink and got it

Million Mile Secrets

Great. That’s definitely one of the best deals out there right now!

So Daraius, for the platinum card, if I was to spend $25K, I would get 20K MQMs and a total of 105K miles correct?

Million Mile Secrets

Hi Nina, That’s right! You’ll earn 10,000 MQMs after meeting the initial minimum spending requirement. And another 10,000 MQMs if you can spend $25,000 in a calendar year, for a total of 20,000 MQMs.

You’ll have 105,000 Delta miles too, if you include the miles you’ll earn from spending $25,000. Happy flying!
