There are 2 Barclaycard Wyndham Rewards cards.
If you’re new to miles and points, the Wyndham credit cards are NOT the best to start with. Because there are Barclaycards with better perks and sign-up bonuses like the Barclaycard Arrival Plus World Elite MasterCard and JetBlue Plus card.
You might also consider applying for Chase cards first because of the bank’s stricter application rules.
And if you already have a Barclaycard, remember you can use these tips for applying a second card.
Here’s a reminder of the current best available Wyndham Rewards card offers and the new changes!
1. Barclaycard Wyndham Rewards With Annual Fee
You can earn 45,000 Wyndham points (worth 3 nights at any Wyndham hotel!) after you complete the minimum spending on the premium Barclaycard Wyndham Rewards card with a $69 annual fee.
You’ll earn 30,000 Wyndham points after your first purchase. And another 15,000 Wyndham points after spending $1,000 on purchases within the first 90 days of account opening.
You’ll also get:
- 6,000 Wyndham points on your account anniversary each year
- 5X Wyndham points per $1 you spend at Wyndham hotels
- 2X Wyndham points points per $1 you spend on gas, utility, any grocery store purchases.
- Automatic Platinum status
- 5X bonus category expanded to include Wyndham timeshare and rental properties
- No foreign transaction fees
Wyndham Platinum status has decent perks like:
- Early check-in (if available)
- Late check-out (if available)
- Dedicated member services
- Preferred room choices and room upgrades (if available)
- 3,000 Wyndham points bonus annually
- Avis and Budget car rental upgrades
And you’d normally need to stay 15 nights in a year to earn the status. So getting it automatically with 1 card is terrific!
I’d recommend applying through this link, which doesn’t yet reflect the new perks. Because the new application page shows a higher annual fee of $75 and a lower sign-up bonus. I contacted Barclaycard who confirmed you can still get the new perks and higher sign-up bonus!
2. Barclaycard Wyndham Rewards With NO Annual Fee
With the no-annual-fee version of the Barclaycard Wyndham Rewards card you can earn 18,000 Wyndham points (more than enough for a night at any Wyndham hotel) after meeting minimum spending requirements.
But there’s NO anniversary bonus.
With this card, you’ll get:
- 15,000 Wyndham points after your first purchase, plus 3,000 Wyndham points after you spend $1,000 on purchases the first 90 days of opening your account (18,000 points total)
- 3X Wyndham points per $1 you spend at Wyndham hotels
- 2X Wyndham points points per $1 you spend on everything else
- NO annual fee
- Automatic Gold status
- 3X bonus category expanded to include Wyndham timeshare and rental properties
- No foreign transaction fees
With Wyndham Gold status, you’ll enjoy perks like:
- Dedicated member services
- Late check-out (if available)
- Preferred room choices and room upgrades (if available)
Remember, there’s also a targeted offer to earn Gold status after 2 stays.
Bottom Line
Existing Barclaycard Wyndham Rewards cardholders have new perks on their cards like automatic Gold or Platinum status and no foreign transaction fees!
Folks considering these cards should use this link for the Barclaycard Wyndham Rewards. Because you can earn a larger sign-up bonus and still get the new perks!
Before you consider either card, remember that Barclaycard typically only approves folks for 1 or 2 cards per year.
Emily and I don’t earn a commission on either of these cards, but we’ll also share the best deals and any changes!
