Good news for folks who like Wyndham hotels!  Via Don’t Call the Airline, both versions of the Barclaycard Wyndham cards now have increased sign-up bonuses.

With the annual fee version, you can earn 45,000 Wyndham points (worth 3 nights at any Wyndham hotel) after meeting minimum spending requirements.

And you’ll earn 18,000 Wyndham points (more than enough for 1 night at any Wyndham hotel) after meeting minimum spending requirements with the no-annual-fee version of the card.

We don’t earn a commission for these cards, but we’ll always tell you about the best deals!

All Wyndham hotel award nights cost 15,000 points per night, so with these better offers on the Barclaycard Wyndham Rewards cards, you can earn up to 3 free nights at ANY Wyndham hotel.

That’s great news if you can redeem your Wyndham points at otherwise expensive locations, including some of Wyndham’s all-inclusive resorts, top hotels, and their vacation rentals!

Just remember, the Wyndham credit cards are NOT the best to start with if you’re new to miles & points.  Because there are other Barclaycards with better sign-up bonuses and perks, like the Barclaycard Arrival Plus World Elite Mastercard or JetBlue Plus card.

And you should apply for any Chase cards you want first, like the Chase Sapphire Preferred Card or Ink Business Preferred Credit Card, because of their stricter application rules.

1.   Barclaycard Wyndham Rewards – Annual Fee Version

With the $75 annual fee version of the Barclaycard Wyndham Rewards card, you’ll earn 30,000 Wyndham points after your first purchase.  And another 15,000 Wyndham points after spending $2,000 on purchases within the first 90 days of account opening.  For a total of 45,000 Wyndham points.

You’ll also get:

  • 6,000 Wyndham points on your account anniversary each year
  • 5X Wyndham points per $1 you spend at Wyndham hotels
  • 2X Wyndham points per $1 you spend on eligible gas, utility, and grocery store purchases
  • 1X Wyndham points on everything else (excluding time-share downpayments)
  • Automatic Platinum status (early check-in, late check-out, preferred rooms, annual points bonus)
  • 5X bonus category expanded to include Wyndham timeshare and rental properties
  • No foreign transaction fees

Normally you’d need to stay 15 nights in a year to earn Platinum status.  So getting it automatically with 1 card is a nice bonus!

2.   Barclaycard Wyndham Rewards – NO Annual Fee Version

You can earn 18,000 Wyndham points (more than enough for 1 night at any Wyndham hotel) after meeting minimum spending requirements with the no-annual-fee version of the Barclaycard Wyndham Rewards card.

You’ll get 15,000 Wyndham points after your first purchase, plus 3,000 Wyndham points after you spend $1,000 on purchases the first 90 days of opening your account.  For a total of 18,000 Wyndham points

You’ll also get:

  • 3X Wyndham points per $1 you spend at Wyndham hotels
  • 2X Wyndham points per $1 you spend on eligible gas, utility, and grocery store purchases
  • 1X Wyndham points on everything else (excluding time-share downpayments)
  • Automatic Gold status (late check-out, preferred rooms)
  • 3X bonus category expanded to include Wyndham timeshare and rental properties
  • No foreign transaction fees

There’s NO annual fee.  But you don’t get an anniversary bonus either.

And don’t forget about the targeted offer to earn Gold status after 2 stays.

Bottom Line

If you’ve been considering one of the Barclaycard Wyndham Rewards cards, now is a good time to apply.  Because both cards are offering better sign-up bonuses!

You can earn 45,000 Wyndham points with the annual fee version of the card and 18,000 Wyndham points with the no-annual-fee version of the card, after meeting each card’s minimum spending requirements.

And because all Wyndham hotels cost 15,000 Wyndham points per night, the sign-up bonuses from these cards are worth 1 to 3 free nights!

Emily and I don’t earn anything when you apply for these cards, but we’ll always share the best offers with our readers!

Just remember, these are not the best cards to start with if you’re new to miles & points.  Because there are other Barclaycards with better perks and sign-up bonuses.  And because of Chase’s 5/24 rule, it’s wiser to apply for any Chase cards you want first.
