That’s a lot of great perks from a single card!

What’s Included With Priority Pass Select Membership?

Priority Pass is the largest independent network of airport lounges.  And although many of the major airlines’ lounges, like American Admirals Clubs and Delta SkyClubs, aren’t a part of the network, there are over 900 Priority Pass locations worldwide.

Yum! How About a Handful of Pretzels and a Cup of Joe?

Most airport lounges offer amenities like complimentary beverages, snacks, Wi-Fi, and magazines.  And some even offer full meals and a place to shower before or after a long flight!

Million Mile Secrets team member Meghan will never forget the crazy full-body massage chairs in the Ethiopian Airlines first class lounge in the Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, airport!

Every lounge is a little different, so check the Priority Pass website for more specific information.

Do I Just Show My Chase Sapphire Reserve Card for Priority Pass Lounge Access?

With the Chase Sapphire Reserve, both the primary cardholder and any authorized users get a Priority Pass Select membership.  But you must activate your membership through the Priority Pass site to receive your membership card.

You’ll need to show your Priority Pass Select membership card for lounge access.  And even though you can add your membership to the Priority Pass app, some lounges still require the physical card for access.  So it’s best to carry it everywhere.

It could be worth adding a friend or loved one as an authorized user too, just for the Priority Pass membership, especially if they travel frequently.  Because it costs $75 to add an authorized user, and daily lounge passes can cost $40+.

Do My Travel Companions Get Lounge Access Too?

Lounge access isn’t worth much when the folks traveling with you can’t get into the lounge too.  But luckily, this perk from the Chase Sapphire Reserve allows you to take anyone you’re traveling with into the lounge, for free.

Officially, there’s no limit to the number of guests you can bring in with you.  But each individual lounge can set their own limits at any time.  Which could be an issue if the lounge is busy and overcrowded.

Reddit user reported being able to bring in 4+ travel companions with him for free, using his Priority Pass Select membership.

Where Are Priority Pass Lounges?

You can check here to see a map of the 900+ Priority Pass lounges around the world.  Or search for participating lounges in a specific airport.

You can also use the Priority Pass app and type in the airport code on your phone, to see if it’s worth going to the airport early or not.

Million Mile Team member Harlan pointed out that some Priority Pass lounges are in locations you wouldn’t expect, like the Fiji International airport. 😉

In Los Angeles, for example, the retro Virgin America Loft lounge is included with a Priority Pass membership.

Or if you’re traveling through New York (JFK), you’ll have your pick of 3 different lounges.  Including the Wingtips Lounge that offers full dinners!

How Long Is My Membership Good For?

You’ll be able to keep your Priority Pass Select lounge access as long as your Chase Sapphire Reserve account is open and in good standing.

If you travel a lot (and enjoy snack mix! ;)), this could save you hundreds of dollars per year!

Bottom Line

The Chase Sapphire Reserve card has a huge sign-up bonus and incredible perks.

You’ll earn 100,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points after meeting minimum spending requirements, worth $1,500+ in travel.

Plus, you can save even more with the Priority Pass Select membership offered to the primary cardholder and any authorized users!  But you must register through Priority Pass to get your membership card.

There’s no official limit to the number of guests you can bring with you into the lounges for free.  But each lounge has the right to turn folks away if the lounge is overcrowded.

In most cases, you and your travel companions should be able to enjoy beverages, snacks, Wi-Fi, and comfy chairs, if you have to spend extra time in an airport!

  1. How do I register? This seems difficult on the website. What is my membership number?

  2. @BarbChicagoMDW – Once you have your Chase Sapphire Reserve card in-hand, either call or email the Priority Pass folks and they should be able to send out a membership card. Hopefully it isn’t much of a hassle! Here’s their contact information: https://www.prioritypass.com/en/member-support/contact-us

  3. no need to get the actual card!
as soon as you are approved for the reserve card, login to ultimate reward using your chase login and password, check reserve account – learn more – there you active the priority pass and get it in two weeks by mail
    i just did it!

  4. @Levi – Great to know. Thanks for sharing!

  5. This is good information, Thanks. Chase CSRs were a little hazy at first as to what the guest policies are.

  6. Yup, login to your Chase, Under Use Points, select Card Benefits. Then Activate Airport Lounge

  7. I recently received my Chase Sapphire Reserve card. If I already have Priority Pass membership from my Citi Prestige card, should I still activate this benefit through CSR?

  8. I just went to the Virgin America Loft Lounge at LAX and I can’t understand why people get excited about this lounge. Food is NOT FREE at this lounge. You have to pay for food and drinks, so it’s totally not worth it. The only free items you get are: tea, pretzels, a piece of fruit, cereal, juice, milk. That’s it! Thumb way down to this lounge. Just FYI in case any of your readers is hoping to have an amazing experience. The Alaska Airlines lounge at LAX is way better… free pancakes anyone? 😉

  9. Alaska Airline lounge is in the United Terminal #7

  10. You information is incorrect. To receive the priority pass card you either get it through the ultimate rewards /chase website or call the sapphire reserve number directly to activate. Nothing is needed to be done via priority pass.

  11. I just activated my priority pass by logging into benefits section. I am wondering if i get a card after 2 weeks how can i share that with my authorized users? how do they get access..

  12. I made an inquiry directly with Priority Pass in September, they stated that the Digital Membership Card was not available with the Sapphire Reserve because Chase administers the program directly. Does anyone know if this is still the case? If so it is a deal breaker for me. I’m looking to streamline things, not ADD things, and the Priority Pass card would just be another bulls**t card in my wallet.
