The Chase Sapphire Reserve card comes with a hefty 50,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards point sign-up bonus along with a number of great perks.
But I want to share more about the Sapphire Reserve Lounge Policy (aka Priority Pass Select membership) that comes with the card. It gives you access to over 1,200 lounges around the world! Here are more details about this perk, including where you can use it and how it can save you money.
Chase Sapphire Reserve Lounge Policy
With the Chase Sapphire Reserve, you’ll earn 50,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points to use for $750+ toward travel after spending $4,000 in the first three months of account opening.
You’ll also get:

- $100 statement credit for Global Entry
- Priority Pass Select for access to airport lounges
- NO foreign transaction fees
- Visa Infinite benefits like $25 food and beverage credit at the Luxury Hotel Collection and complimentary car rental elite status with companies like Avis and National
That’s a lot of great perks from a single card!
What’s Included With Priority Pass Select Membership?
Priority Pass is the largest independent network of airport lounges. And although many of the major airline lounges, like American Airlines Admirals Clubs and Delta SkyClubs, aren’t a part of the network, there are over 1,200 Priority Pass locations worldwide.
Most airport lounges offer amenities like complimentary beverages, snacks, Wi-Fi, and magazines. And some even offer full meals and a place to shower before or after a long flight!
Million Mile Secrets team member Meghan will never forget the crazy full-body massage chairs in the Ethiopian Airlines first class lounge in the Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, airport!
Every lounge is a little different, so check the Priority Pass website for more specific information.
Do I Just Show My Chase Sapphire Reserve Card for Priority Pass Lounge Access?
With the Chase Sapphire Reserve, both the primary cardholder and any authorized users get a Priority Pass Select membership. But you must activate your membership through the Priority Pass site to receive your membership card.
You’ll need to show your Priority Pass Select membership card for lounge access. And even though you can add your membership to the Priority Pass app, some lounges still require the physical card for access. So it’s best to carry it everywhere.
It could be worth adding a friend or loved one as an authorized user too, just for the Priority Pass membership, especially if they travel frequently. Because it costs $75 to add an authorized user, and daily lounge passes can cost $40+.
Do My Travel Companions Get Lounge Access Too?
Lounge access isn’t worth much when the folks traveling with you can’t get into the lounge too. But luckily, this perk from the Chase Sapphire Reserve allows you to take up to 2 guests into the lounge for free. Additional guests will be charged $27 per visit.
Where Are Priority Pass Lounges?
You can check here to see a map of the 1,200+ Priority Pass lounges around the world. Or search for participating lounges in a specific airport.
You can also use the Priority Pass app and type in the airport code on your phone to see if it’s worth going to the airport early or not.
Million Mile Secrets team member Harlan pointed out that some Priority Pass lounges are in locations you wouldn’t expect, like the Fiji International airport. 😉
In Los Angeles, for example, the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse lounge is included with a Priority Pass membership.
Or, if you’re traveling through New York (JFK), you’ll have your pick of 5 different lounges. Including the Wingtips Lounge that offers full dinners!
How Long Is My Membership Good For?
You’ll be able to keep your Priority Pass Select lounge access as long as your Chase Sapphire Reserve account is open and in good standing.
If you travel a lot (and enjoy snack mix! ;)), this could save you hundreds of dollars per year!
Bottom Line
The Chase Sapphire Reserve card has an excellent sign-up bonus and incredible perks.
You’ll earn 50,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points after spending $4,000 in the first three months, worth $750+ in travel.
Plus, you can save TONS with the Priority Pass Select membership offered to the primary cardholder and any authorized users. But you must register through Priority Pass to get your membership card.
In most cases, you and your travel companions should be able to enjoy beverages, snacks, Wi-Fi, and comfy chairs, if you have to spend extra time in an airport!
