There are a few other details to keep in mind:

  • The certificates are valid for 12 months from the date they’re issued
  • They can only be used for Friday, Saturday, or Sunday night stays
  • Only the primary cardholder can use the certificates
  • The room rate and taxes are included, but gratuities, incidental charges, and resort fees are NOT (although some folks report certain hotels will waive the resort fee!)
  • You can only book a standard room (not a premium room or suite) with these certificates

If you accidentally delete the email (or don’t receive it), don’t worry – the certificates should still show up in your Hilton account when you call them!

  1. Hi Daraius,

You mentioned that only the primary cardholder could use the 2 free night certificates for the Hilton Reserve card, I heard before from somewhere that you could make the reservation under the primary cardholder’s name and just add a friend to the reservation so he/she could check in if you wanted to give the 2 free nights to that friend? Or is this a YRMV (Your Reservations May Vary) thing?

  2. I can vouch for the Conrad Bali being wonderful in every way! I had the pleasure of spending five relaxing days & nights there back in early February on my S.E. Asian odyssey leading up to my running the Tokyo marathon in late Feb. (unfortunately, the Conrad Tokyo was nearly sold out and only upgraded suites were available at a stupendous rate around 200,000 points per night, which would have used up far too many of my HHonors points at once, so I didn’t get to stay there for the race). But back to Bali: I got a fantastic upgrade to a Lagoon King, which gave me direct walk-in access to their huge lagoon pool from the patio of my bedroom. Technically, a suite might have been a higher value upgrade, but I was so delighted with the pool that I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. Their breakfast buffet was also top-notch. At other times of day, I went outside the resort and scouted out “street food” (I had some tasty “Babi Guling”, among other things). There was also a lovely little wedding chapel there, with infinity pools flanking the aisle a bride would walk down, and looking out onto the Indian Ocean. Fittingly, it was called “Infinity”. If I ever do get married, maybe that’ll be the place (up to her, though, I’m sure). Anyway, I’d give the Conrad Bali 5-stars personally. Check ’em out if you’re ever in that region of the world. (Oh, do note that Bali has effectively zero public transportation, so you WILL be paying for cabs unless you know someone there with a car or more likely a motor bike…but there’s a ton to see & do on the island, so DO venture out as much as you can/want).

  3. Wife and I stayed there 2 nights as part of our honeymoon destination trip. We booked in advance with just points/cash then later confirm the upgrade with additional 50000 points for upgrade to lagoon (pool access) bedroom. The service and breakfast buffet were great the little disappointment was the beach, not sure if was late season in mid March (around 19-20s) but it was low tide there was no ocean water by the beach and seaweeds everywhere. There at some point of day the water did get in , but we’re ususally out and about doing other activity . So if you’re the beach type of person, I’d suggest staying in south nusa dua. If you could careless, then it is a wonderful spot for relaxing and enjoy the pool.
