Many Million Mile Secrets readers live in Delta hub cities. So earning Delta miles can be an easy way to save on out-of-pocket airfare expenses to domestic and international destinations.
If you qualify for small business cards, you should consider the Gold Delta SkyMiles® Business Credit Card from American Express. The welcome bonus is the same as the personal version of the card, and can get you $500+ worth of airfare!
You can apply for the Amex Gold Delta SkyMiles Business Credit Card here.
And Amex small business cards do NOT appear on your personal credit report. So opening this new account won’t count toward card limits other banks have, like Chase.
Even without immediate travel plans, you might consider applying for the Amex Delta Gold small business card. Because Delta miles NEVER expire! So you can have miles in your account when you’re ready to book Big Travel with Small Money!

You can apply for Amex small business cards using just your social security number. You’re NOT required to have an EIN (Employer Identification Number) to apply.
Businesses small and large are eligible to apply. For example, you could apply with your eBay selling business, Uber driving business, or real estate business using your social security number.
Amex does NOT have strict income requirements for business cards. They’re usually more concerned with your personal income and credit history because you’re personally responsible for any debt you accrue.
What Can You Do With 30,000 Delta Miles?
Delta miles are useful because you can redeem them for award flights beyond Delta. You can book award flights on SkyTeam Alliance partners like Air France, KLM, and Korean Air. Or other partners, like Virgin Australia or WestJet.
Delta offers many nonstop award flights to and from their hub cities:
- Atlanta
- Detroit
- Los Angeles
- Minneapolis
- New York
- Salt Lake City
- Seattle
At a minimum, you can use the 30,000-mile Amex Delta Gold small business card welcome bonus to get $300 worth of airfare. Because Amex Delta cardholders can redeem Delta miles for 1 cent each using Pay with Miles. Just keep in mind, you can only book Delta and Delta Connection-operated flights using Pay With Miles (NOT partner flights).
And using Delta miles for an award flight can get you much more. Delta no longer publishes an award chart. But you can easily search for award flights and pricing on Delta.com.
For example, I found a one-way nonstop coach award flight from Atlanta to Paris for 32,500 Delta miles and ~$6 in taxes and fees. The same sample flight would cost over $1,000 if you paid cash. That’s just one example of how much value you can get from earning the Amex Delta Gold small business card bonus. You’ll have nearly enough once you earn the full bonus and complete the minimum spending!
Bottom Line
You can earn 30,000 Delta miles when you apply for the Amex Delta Gold small business card and meet the minimum spending requirements.
The Amex Delta Gold small business card offer is appealing because this card does NOT appear on your personal credit report. So opening this new account won’t count toward card limits other banks have, like Chase.
At a minimum, you can use the card’s welcome bonus to get $300 worth of Delta airfare. But if you’re flexible and can find an award flight that matches your travel plans, you can get significantly more value for your miles. I found a one-way award flight to Europe for 32,500 Delta miles that would otherwise cost more than $1,000 if you paid cash.
Don’t forget you can use Delta miles to book award flights on SkyTeam Alliance partners like Air France, KLM, and Korean Air. Or other partners, like Virgin Australia or WestJet!
