Hyatt is my favorite hotel chain, so Hyatt points are worth a lot to me! I’ll help you decide if this is a deal you should jump on.Up to 40% Bonus When Buying Hyatt Points

Through December 15, 2017, folks can earn up to a 40% bonus on Hyatt points purchases. To get the deal, log-in to the buy points promotion page. Then, you’ll see all of the options to purchase points.
This it a tiered bonus, so the more you buy, the bigger the bonus! You must buy at least 5,000 points to activate the bonus.
If you buy 4,000 points or less, you’ll pay 2.4 cents per point.
Here’s what you’ll get if you buy more:
- Buy 5,000 to 9,000 Hyatt points, get a 20% bonus (2 cents each)
- Buy 10,000 to 29,000 Hyatt points, get a 30% bonus (~1.85 cents each)
- Buy 30,000+ Hyatt points, get a 40% bonus (~1.71 cents each)
That’s a decent discount, and handy for folks who want to stay at expensive hotels for less.
For example, a weekend at the Park Hyatt Paris Vendome can easily cost $1,400+, or 60,000 Hyatt points. But with this promotion, you can buy ~61,000 Hyatt points for $1,056. And you’d save ~$350 on your stay!

If you don’t want to buy Hyatt points, there are plenty of other ways to earn them! For example, I love to transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards points to Hyatt for free hotel stays.
Remember, you can transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards points to Hyatt to top-off your account for an award stay if you have the Chase Sapphire Reserve, Chase Sapphire Preferred Card, Ink Business Preferred Credit Card, or (no longer offered) Ink Bold card or Ink Plus card.
And if you have one of the cards listed above, you can indirectly transfer points earned from the Chase Freedom, Chase Freedom Unlimited, and Ink Business Cash Credit Card too!
You can also open the Chase Hyatt card to earn a bunch of Hyatt points in a hurry! This card is NOT affected by Chase’s strict application rules.
Bottom Line
Through December 15, 2017, you can get up to a 40% bonus when you purchase Hyatt points. This could be a good way to stay at 5-star Hyatt hotels at a discount!
The bonus is tiered, so the more points you buy, the bigger the bonus. But you’ll have to buy at least 5,000 points to earn any bonus at all.
