INSIDER SECRET: One of the best perks offered by both the personal and business Platinum cards is access to Centurion Lounges, some of the best lounges in the world.

If you hold The Platinum Card® from American Express or The Business Platinum Card® from American Express, take note. At the US Open tennis tournament, you’ll have exclusive access to the American Express Centurion Suite at Louis Armstrong Stadium.

Fun perks like this help make either of these credit cards a great choice for anyone looking to earn free travel and do it in style.

Here’s more about the Centurion Suite at the US Open along with details of these two excellent cards.

For the second year, American Express is opening its Centurion Suite at the US Open, giving Amex Platinum and Business Platinum cardholders a refuge during the tournament. The suite will offer amenities like:

  • Complimentary premium snacks, small bites and water
  • One complimentary drink (beer, wine, cocktail or mocktail)
  • Phone-charging stations and dedicated Wi-Fi network
  • Air-conditioning, restrooms and spacious seating
  • Special card member takeaways including a travel cocktail kit and travel pouch

Lounge-goers will also get a preview of the speakeasy-inspired bar that will be featured inside the soon-to-open Centurion Lounge at JFK Terminal 4. You’ll also get a chance to enjoy an exclusive cocktail, the Centurionside, created by the head mixologist of the Centurion Lounge Network, Jim Meeham.

Amex Platinum and Business Platinum cardholders get cool benefits like this all the time: a concierge service for hard-to-get restaurant reservations, Centurion Lounge access, credits through the Amex Fine Hotels & Resorts program and more.

Here’s our review of the Amex Platinum card and review of the Amex Business Platinum card. You should find everything you need to know about these cards.

If you already have the personal and small-business Amex Platinum cards, consider other cards that earn Amex Membership Rewards to boost your rewards balance:

  • American Express® Gold Card
  • American Express® Business Gold Card
  • The Blue Business® Plus Credit Card from American Express
