INSIDER SECRET: There are often other Amazon deals that are similar, like this one for Chase Ultimate Rewards points. So subscribe to our newsletter to notified of these promotions.

Amazon has targeted a new round of accounts to receive $30 off orders of $60+ when you use at least 1 AMEX Membership Rewards point to pay for part of your purchase. If you didn’t get in on this deal last time it’s worth checking to see if you can this time around.

To qualify for this deal, you’ll need to have a card that earns AMEX Membership Rewards points linked to your Amazon account, like The Platinum Card® from American Express.

Save $30 at Amazon With 1 AMEX Membership Rewards Point

Here are the key terms:

  • See if you’re eligible with this link
  • Offer is valid through December 31, 2019
  • Spend at least $60 on Amazon (sold and shipped by Amazon)
  • At checkout, make sure you split your payment between cash and at least 1 AMEX Membership Rewards point
  • Confirm on the payment page that you’ve received $30 off your order

Normally using AMEX Membership Rewards points for Amazon purchases is a bad deal, because they’re more valuable when you transfer them to airline and hotel partners!

If you’re targeted for this promotion, remember anything sold by a 3rd party seller on Amazon won’t count toward the $60 total. So if the discount isn’t showing up at checkout that’s usually the reason why.

I can’t find anything that works. Tried Panera Bread gift card and toilet paper and some other items shipped by amazon. What do you suggest?
