Better Sign-Up Bonuses With AMEX Delta Cards
Through July 5, 2017, the Delta AMEX credit cards have increased sign-up bonuses. The highest public offers I’ve ever seen for these cards!
Although AMEX only allows folks to earn the sign-up bonus ONCE per person, per lifetime, on ALL their cards, these cards are considered different card products. So if you’ve had one, you can get the other!
Here are the details on these new offers.

- Pay With Miles (each point worth 1 cent)
- No foreign transaction fees
- Terms Apply
The card has a $195 annual fee, NOT waived the first year. Read my post on whether it’s worth paying the annual fee on this card.
Because you can redeem Delta miles for 1 cent each using Pay with Miles, these sign-up bonuses are worth at LEAST $600 to $700. But you can get lots more value from them if you book award flights instead!
And remember, you don’t have to use Delta miles to fly Delta! You can use your miles to book flights on SkyTeam Alliance partners like Air France, KLM, or China Airlines. Or other partners, like WestJet.
Check out my post on how to use Delta miles for expensive flights. And this post on using Delta miles to get to Europe!
Bottom Line
If you haven’t opened the AMEX Delta cards in the past, now is a great time!
Through July 5, 2017, you’ll earn 60,000 Delta miles with the Gold Delta SkyMiles® Credit Card from American Express, and 70,000 Delta miles with the Platinum Delta SkyMiles® Credit Card from American Express after completing minimum spending requirements.
The sign-up bonuses are worth at least $600 or $700 when you book using Pay With Miles. And potentially much more if you book award flights on Delta, SkyTeam Alliance partners, or other partners like Alaska Airlines.
