Save Up to $100 At Amazon (20% Off) With 1 American Express Membership Rewards Point (Targeted)
Signing up for credit cards through partner links earns us a commission. Terms apply to the offers listed on this page. Here’s our full advertising policy: How we make money.
Update: One or more card offers in this post are no longer available. Check our Hot Deals for the latest offers. If you’ve got some big Amazon purchases coming up, this is the deal for you. You can save 20% off your order (up to $100) when you pay with at least 1 AMEX Membership Rewards point. That’s it! This deal looks like it’s targeted, but I was able to sign-up easily.
To qualify for this deal, you’ll need to have a card that earns AMEX Membership Rewards points linked to your Amazon account, like The Platinum Card® from American Express.
I’ll share with you the key terms of the offer. And if you don’t want to miss out on deals like this in the future, subscribe to our newsletter.
Save at Amazon With AMEX Membership Rewards
The deal officially ends on December 23, 2018. But Amazon can end the promotion at any time.
To earn the discount you must:
- Click the “Click to activate” button found here (you’ll need to be signed in to your Amazon account)
- Spend on eligible products (sold & shipped by Amazon)
- Use at least 1 AMEX Membership Rewards point from an eligible linked card to pay for the purchase
You will see the 20% savings applied at check out. And remember that normally paying for Amazon purchases with AMEX Membership rewards points is bad deal. AMEX points are more valuable when you transfer them to travel partners. But in this case, using a single point to earn 20% off is a no-brainer!
This discount doesn’t apply to digital content. And the discount may not be used for Amazon gift cards. It’s possible you may get it to work for other gift cards, but I’m not certain on that. So if you’re able to apply this offer to 3rd-party gift cards please let me know in the comments.
You can also save on Amazon purchases with this offer using Chase Ultimate Rewards points.
