The Sapphire Preferred sign-up bonus is smaller than the Ink Business Preferred.  But I’ll share a few ways you can earn additional points with the Sapphire Preferred to use toward free hotel stays.

When you sign-up for the Chase Ink Business Preferred card, you’ll earn 80,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points after you spend $5,000 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening.

This has been my favorite card offer for several months because it has the largest sign-up bonus among any of the cards earning Chase Ultimate Rewards points, which are my favorite type of flexible points!

After earning points, you can transfer them directly to your Hyatt loyalty account.  Then, book an award stay!

Hyatt has a no “blackout date” policy.  As long as a standard room is available for sale, you can book it using points!

And unlike other hotel chains, you won’t pay those pesky resort fees when you book an award stay at Hyatt hotels.

In many top cities around the world, you’ll have multiple Hyatt hotels to choose from when booking a stay.  Here’s a look at highly rated and well located Hyatt hotels in 7 popular destinations where you can stay free using points!

1.   New York City

There are many Hyatt hotels to choose from in New York City.  This is good news for folks looking to book a free stay using Chase Ultimate Rewards points.

The best hotel option will depend on which part of the city you’d like to stay in.  Team member Jasmin had a wonderful stay at the luxurious Park Hyatt New York.  The hotel is in a terrific spot across from Carnegie Hall and walking distance to Central Park, Times Square, and other New York attractions.

But if you’re planning to see a Broadway show while in town, you might consider staying at the Hyatt Centric Times Square, which is near the Theatre District.

Emily and I stayed at the Andaz 5th Avenue several years ago and enjoyed the views from the room of the New York Library and Empire State Building.

As the table above shows, many of the Hyatt hotels in New York City cost 25,000 points per night.  This means the 80,000-point sign-up bonus on the Ink Business Preferred can get you 3 free nights.

Depending on your travel dates, using points can be a huge money saver!  For example, I found a 3-night stay in April 2018 at the Hyatt Union Square New York, which costs $1,200+ if you pay cash.  So transferring Chase Ultimate Rewards points to Hyatt to stay for free is terrific!

2.   Sydney

Team member Keith and I have both stayed at the Park Hyatt Sydney on separate occasions and would definitely recommend staying here.

Room nights at the hotel can cost $900+ per night, so using 30,000 Hyatt points gets you amazing value for your points!

While in Sydney, be sure to visit Bondi Beach, which is a scenic surfing destination with lots of local shops and restaurants located nearby.

3.   Tokyo

Emily really loved traveling to Tokyo.  It’s one of her favorite cities to shop in!

Also, Tokyo is filled with amazing restaurants, and is home to the most Michelin starred restaurants in the world.

There are several Hyatt hotels in Tokyo where you can choose to stay.  Emily stayed at the Grand Hyatt Tokyo where room nights regularly cost ~$700 per night if you pay cash.

Using 25,000 Hyatt points per night instead is an amazing way to save money.  You can use the savings to try out the phenomenal restaurants in the city!

Or you can use fewer points (12,000 Hyatt points per night) to stay at the Hyatt Regency Tokyo.  This hotel gets great reviews on TripAdvisor!

You can stretch the 80,000-point Ink Business Preferred sign-up bonus to get 4 free nights at the Hotel du Louvre (20,000 Hyatt points per night).  Emily and her mom stayed at this hotel on a mother-daughter trip.

The hotel is located just steps away from the Louvre museum!  And the subway line is also nearby!

Team member Jasmin recently took a family trip to Paris with her mom and daughter.  They spent 45,000 Hyatt points on a 3-night stay at the Hyatt Regency Paris Étoile.  The rooms were small, but modern and fresh.  Keep in mind, parts of the hotel are currently under construction with renovations expected to be completed by the end of 2017.

Dubai is a very modern city with plenty to do.  You can experience a luxury desert safari where you can enjoy a 4-course dinner with classic Emirati dishes.

Dubai has lots of hotels!  But if you want to make the most of your Chase Ultimate Rewards points, you might consider booking an award stay at a luxurious hotel like the Park Hyatt Dubai.  This hotel has several pools, fine dining, and a yacht club and golf course next door.

At this hotel, you can also take the Tube to Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, Piccadilly Circus, or the London Eye.  Or maybe do some shopping at Harrod’s!
