Are fantastic cities like Sydney, Dubai, or London on your travel bucket list? If so, applying for certain Chase credit cards can save you lots of money on hotel stays during your travels.
For example, after earning the sign-up bonus on the Ink Business Preferred Credit Card, you’ll have 80,000 flexible Chase Ultimate Rewards points. You can transfer these points directly to Hyatt (my favorite Chase hotel transfer partner) and book completely free hotel stays.
If you don’t qualify for a small business card, like the Ink Business Preferred, you can still earn valuable Chase Ultimate Rewards points with other cards. For example, the sign-up bonus on the Chase Sapphire Preferred (my favorite card for beginners) is 50,000 Chase Ultimate rewards points after meeting minimum spending requirements.
The Sapphire Preferred sign-up bonus is smaller than the Ink Business Preferred. But I’ll share a few ways you can earn additional points with the Sapphire Preferred to use toward free hotel stays.
Let’s explore 7 wonderful cities where you can stay free using Chase Ultimate Rewards points!

There are many Hyatt hotels to choose from in New York City. This is good news for folks looking to book a free stay using Chase Ultimate Rewards points.

The hotel is in a terrific spot across from Carnegie Hall and walking distance to Central Park, Times Square, and other New York attractions.
But if you’re planning to see a Broadway show while in town, you might consider staying at the Hyatt Centric Times Square, which is near the Theatre District.
Emily and I stayed at the Andaz 5th Avenue several years ago and enjoyed the views from the room of the New York Library and Empire State Building. As the table above shows, many of the Hyatt hotels in New York City cost 25,000 points per night. This means the 80,000-point sign-up bonus on the Ink Business Preferred can get you 3 free nights.
