Did you know you can redeem Marriott, Ritz-Carlton, or Starwood points for award nights at all 3 hotel chains?
And if you collect Starwood or Marriott points, you can transfer points instantly between your accounts. Starwood points convert to Marriott at a 1:3 ratio.
Plus, you can link your rewards accounts before booking a stay at either of the 3 hotel chains, and get an instant status match!
I haven’t personally stayed at all of these hotels, but hopefully this list will spark your imagination!
The Prince de Galles is a Luxury Collection hotel, so it’s part of Starwood.
It gets nearly all 5-star reviews on TripAdvisor for its friendly staff, Art Deco design, and delicious breakfast.

Plus it’s in a convenient location, only a ~5 minute walk from Avenue des Champs-Elysees and the Arc de Triomphe!
2. Renaissance Paris Republique Hotel
“Perfect” is the word most reviewers on TripAdvisor use to describe the Renaissance Paris Republique HotelThe nearly new hotel gets outstanding reviews for its easy access to the metro, friendly & knowledgeable staff, and contemporary design.
It’s short drive to popular spots like Notre Dame Cathedral and the Canal Saint-Martin, where you can get a taste of how the locals live.

Nights here in May 2017 cost ~$289 or 40,000 Marriott points.
So you’d only need ~13,334 Starwood points (40,000 Marriott points / 3) for an award night. Because you get 3 Marriott points for every 1 Starwood point you transfer. But remember, you must transfer in increments of 1,000!
3. Les Bains, Paris, A Member of Design Hotels
Les Bains, Paris, A Member of Design Hotels would be a fantastic choice for a spot rich with history. The remodeled building was once a private bathhouse in the late 1800’s, and was also a nightclub where Jagger and Bowie used to play!
The Les Bains gets great reviews on Trip Advisor. Especially for its ambiance, helpful staff, and elegant design.

I found nights here in May 2017 for ~$425.
If you wanted to splurge on this hotel but save your cash, you could use 30,000 Starwood points or convert 90,000 Marriott points for a free night.
4. W Paris – Opera
The W Paris – Opera is another great option in Paris.
It gets excellent reviews on TripAdvisor for its friendly staff, fantastic location, and unique style.
W hotels are part of the Starwood chain. And are known for their contemporary design.![Paris Marriott And Starwood Hotels With Points Paris Marriott And Starwood Hotels With Points](https://millionmilesecrets.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/Paris_Marriott_And_Starwood_Hotels_With_Points_06.jpg)
While the W Paris – Opera building was built in the late 1800s with beautiful architecture, the interior is more contemporary. 😉

Rooms at the W Paris – Opera have modern art, flat screen TVs, and rainforest showers. Some even have views of Paris’ opera house!
In May 2017 rooms at the W Paris – Opera cost ~$488 per night.
Instead, you could use 20,000 Starwood points or convert 60,000 Marriott points for a free night. And spend the money you save on the hotel room for a fancy meal at a Parisian cafe!
5. Renaissance Paris Vendome Hotel

This Marriott hotel is walking distance to must-see attractions like the Louvre, Palace Vendome, and Palace Garnier, Paris’ national opera house. And only a ~10 minute drive to the Eiffel Tower.

Folks on TripAdvisor enjoyed the hotel’s cozy rooms and comfortable beds.
I found rooms in May 2017 for ~$405 or 45,000 Marriott points per night.
If you don’t have enough Marriott points for a free stay, you can convert 15,000 Starwood points to 45,000 Marriott points. Because Starwood points transfer to Marriott at a 1:3 ratio.
And you could use the ~$405 savings from the cost of a regular room night to go to a performance at the nearby opera house. 😉
Cards That Earn Free Nights
1. AMEX Starwood Cards
Link: Starwood Preferred Guest® Credit Card from American Express (personal)
Link: Starwood Preferred Guest® Business Credit Card from American Express (small business)
You can earn 25,000 Starwood points after completing the minimum spending requirements on the AMEX Starwood personal and small business credit cards.
I recommend using the AMEX Starwood cards for non-bonus spending, because you’ll earn 1 Starwood point per $1 you spend. And 1 Starwood point can be converted to 3 Marriott or Ritz-Carlton points. Which is a better deal than earning just 1 Marriott or Ritz-Carlton point per $1 you spend with the Chase Marriott and Ritz-Carlton cards!
Plus, AMEX cards are easier to get than Chase cards because of Chase’s stricter approval rules.
Just remember, you can only earn the bonus on any AMEX card ONCE per lifetime.
2. Chase Marriott Cards
Link: Marriott Rewards® Premier Credit Card (personal)
Link: Marriott Rewards Premier Business Card (small business)
With the personal and small business version of the Marriott Rewards Premier card, you’ll earn 80,000 Marriott points after completing minimum spending requirements.
If you get the personal version of the card, you can earn another 7,500 bonus Marriott points when you add an authorized user and make a purchase within the first 3 months of opening your account. The $85 annual fee is NOT waived for the first year.
The $99 annual fee on the small business version of the card is also NOT waived for the first year. You can read my review of the offer here.
3. Chase Ritz-Carlton Card
Link: Ritz-Carlton Rewards® Credit Card
You can earn 3 free nights at participating Ritz-Carlton Tier 1 through 4 hotels after spending $5,000 on purchases within the first 3 months of opening a Chase Ritz-Carlton card.
You’ll also get 10,000 Ritz-Carlton points when you add an authorized user and make a purchase in the same timeframe.
The $450 annual fee is NOT waived the first year, but the card offers perks that offset the annual fee. Here’s my review of the deal.
Even if you’ve opened 5+ new cards in the past 24 months, you’re still eligible for the Ritz-Carlton card.
Bottom Line
On your next trip to Paris, consider these 5 magnificent hotels. You can stay at any of them with Marriott, Ritz-Carlton, or Starwood points!
You could save over ~$700 by redeeming 30,000 Starwood points or 90,000 Marriott points for a free night at the amazing Prince De Galles, A Luxury Collection Hotel. Or save nearly $500 at the modern W Paris – Opera with 20,000 Starwood points or 60,000 Marriott points.
But before you book, be sure to link your loyalty accounts to get an instant status match. So you can enjoy all of the perks regardless of which hotel chain you choose!
