Via One Mile at a Time, you’ll get a 30% bonus when you buy 5,000+ Hyatt points through May 23, 2017.

I love Hyatt, so I put a lot of value on Hyatt points.  But there have been better Hyatt sales than this in the past!

30% Bonus for Buying Hyatt Points

Through May 23, 2017, folks can earn up to a 30% bonus on Hyatt points purchases.  To get the deal, log-in to the buy points promotion page.  Then, you’ll see all of the options to purchase points.

You must buy at least 5,000 points to get the bonus.  So If you buy 4,000 points or less, you’ll spend 2.4 cents per point.  But if you buy 5,000+ points, it will only cost ~1.85 cents per point.

Note:   Hyatt only lets you buy 55,000 Hyatt points per year.  But bonus points do NOT count towards that total.  You can buy 55,000 points and earn 16,500 bonus points.

Is This a Good Deal?

This is a pretty normal bonus from Hyatt, and it’s nothing special.  If you have a certain award stay in mind, and need extra points, this deal could make sense.

Or, if you’ve done the math on a certain hotel room, and you’d get a value of more than 1.85 cents per point, it might be a good idea to buy points instead of paying cash for the room.  Just make sure award nights are available on your travel dates!

If you want to purchase Hyatt points, I’d wait until next week and try your luck with the upcoming Daily Getaways deal on May 10, 2017.  You’ll be able to buy Hyatt points for as low as ~1.04 cents each!  But Daily Getaways deals sell out almost immediately, so you’ll have to be at your computer ready to buy the second the deals go live!

If you aren’t fast enough to buy Hyatt points through Daily Getaways, you can still buy points through Hyatt until May 23, 2017.

I love to transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards points to Hyatt for free hotel stays.

Remember, you can transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards points to Hyatt to top-off your account for an award stay if you have the Chase Sapphire ReserveSapphire Preferred, Ink Business Preferred, or (no longer offered) Ink Bold card or Ink Plus card.

And if you have one of the cards listed above, you can indirectly transfer points earned from the Chase Freedom, Freedom Unlimited, and Ink Business Cash Credit Card too!

And remember, you’ll get 2 free nights at ANY Hyatt hotel in the world when you apply for the Chase Hyatt card and spend $2,000 on purchases in the first 3 months of opening your account.  Emily and I used the free nights from this card at the 5-star Park Hyatt Paris Vendome to save thousands!

Bottom Line

Through May 23, 2017, you’ll earn a 30% bonus when you buy at least 5,000 Hyatt points.  That means you can buy Hyatt points for as low as 1.85 cents each!

Because the sale lasts a few weeks, I recommend first trying your luck at the upcoming Daily Getaways Hyatt sale, where you can buy Hyatt points for as little as ~1.04 cents each.

Will you buy Hyatt points with this 30% bonus?
