So, if I have 6 Amex cards, I could theoretically get 6 $10 credits for each merchant listed? As in a total of $660?

  2. Does anyone know if this works with the Wells Fargo Amex?

  3. How do you use the authorized user? Mine only allows me to pick one of my cards but I can’t scroll down to get to one of my authorized user accounts since you’re not actually entering the credit card number. Do I have to open an online account for the authorized users?

  4. I purchased a $10 gift card from newegg and just received my $10 credit from amex. You can receive a $10 credit from each of the companies.

  5. @Ray, for the authorized user – for example, let’s say you are an authorized user on your father’s account. Login to YOUR own Amex account online, and manually add a new card and enter the authorized user credit card # (it should prompt you for the 15 digit amex # and the 4 digit security code on the front), once it is added to your account you should be able to view it whenever you login to your own amex account online.

For the terms I guess you could get $660 credits back. However, in order to make all purchases at 11 merchants with 6 cards. You are going have a nice 66 times login in amex express checkout, receiving one-time checkout code, and verify order info. This would take you about 1.5 mins each so 99 mins just for checkout process. Not include how much time you need to spend on browsing which product you would buy on all 66 orders. Only some of them has gift card option so you will probably spend thousands of dollars because of those luxury brands. And if you wanna do this efficiently you will need to turn it into a small project which invole spreadsheets and a lot of calculations. It may take 2-3 days to complete the entire operation.

So here is a question: Does all these money, efforts and time you spent worth $660?
If so, go ahead and please post it online so we can read it 🙂

  7. A great use of this free $10 is a groupon gift card. Buy a $10 gift card from newegg. One of my favorite local restaurants had a groupon for $15 to get $26 in food. Found a groupon code COOL20 for 20% off. So in the end received $26 in food for $2! ($15 * 20% = 12 minus $10 = $2.)

  8. Jo,

You should do it. You seem highly organized. 😀

  9. How are people calculating that you could use each card 6x at each merchant? You would have to have 6 cards with 5 authorized users on each to be able to do that.

  10. Can you do this with a bluebird?
