The 100,000-point sign-up bonus offer on the brand new Marriott Rewards® Premier Plus Credit Card is a great way to get award nights for a quick getaway at the best Marriott beach resorts in the Caribbean and Mexico!
We’ll show you 5 hotels in the Caribbean and Mexico where you can stay with Marriott points!
Best Marriott Beach Resort
- Aruba Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino
- French Leave Resort, Autograph Collection
- Grand Cayman Marriott Beach Resort
- JW Marriott Cancun Resort & Spa
- JW Marriott Los Cabos Beach Resort & Spa
Marriott and Starwood are in the process of merging. Currently, you can transfer Starwood points to Marriott, or vice versa at a ratio of 1 Starwood point = 3 Marriott points. So if you have Starwood points and need to boost your Marriott account balance, moving points between your accounts can help!
And Marriott is a Chase Ultimate Rewards transfer partner. If you have one of these Chase credit cards: Chase Sapphire Preferred Card, Chase Sapphire Reserve, or Chase Ink Business Preferred Credit Card, you can instantly transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards points to Marriott at a 1:1 ratio. Just keep in mind you’ll typically get more value by moving points to other partners, like Hyatt or United Airlines.
Don’t forget, you’ll also get the 5th night free on any Marriott award stay! So if you want to stay longer, it’s an excellent way to save 20% of your points!
It’s easy to use Hotel Hustle to find hotels for award stays because it shows you how many points you’ll need for your specific travel dates. And show you if award nights are available at hotels, including Marriott!
Another option is AwardMapper. But it’s not specific to travel dates and won’t search for available award rooms.
We haven’t personally stayed at these hotels, but they look terrific! Let me know if you’ve had an experience with any of them!
Note: Some Marriott hotels (especially resorts) add pricey resort fees to paid and award nights. Before you book, check the hotel policy to decide if it’s worth it for you. And here are my tips on how to avoid them! We’ve noted in the examples which hotels add resort fees.
