Lots of folks prefer vacation rentals like Airbnbs to hotels because they have a homier feel.  And via Travel With Grant, Hyatt is trying to break in to the vacation rental market with Oasis home rentals.

It’s supposed to be like staying at an Airbnb, but with the added perks of a hotel.  Including things like fresh linens and toiletries, free concierge services, and more!

You’ll also be able to earn and redeem Hyatt points for stays.  And through October 31, 2017, you can save $100 off your first booking!

Here’s more about Hyatt’s new partnership with Oasis.

Hyatt’s Getting Into the Home Rental Business

Link:   Hyatt Oasis

Hyatt is partnering with Oasis, a vacation rental service similar to Airbnb and VRBO.  And soon, you’ll be able to earn and use Hyatt points for stays at vacation rentals around the world!

They haven’t announced when, exactly, Oasis will become a part of the Hyatt brand.  But through October 31, 2017, you can save $100 off your first stay at an Oasis home rental using the code “UnboundxHyatt.”

To get the discount, you must make your booking online or by calling 855-686-2747.  Just note, certain locations have minimum stay requirements (similar to Airbnb or VRBO rentals) and blackout dates may apply.  So check to make sure the discount is valid before booking!

What Does This News Mean for You?

Currently, Oasis has 2,000+ homes in over 20 cities around the world, like New York, London, Buenos Aires, Paris, and more.  Meaning folks who love earning and using Hyatt points will have a lot more options for stays once Oasis is part of Hyatt!

I looked through the homes listed on Oasis, and they look spectacular.  But we don’t have any information on how many points free nights will cost.  So it’s hard to say whether there any good deals to be had.

We also do NOT know how (if at all) folks with Hyatt elite status will be recognized during stays at Oasis vacation rentals.  But a Hyatt representative told me we should know more in the next 3+ months.  So I’ll keep you posted!

This 5 Bedroom Apartment Rents on Oasis for $1,200+ per Night, but It Sleeps 8 and Overlooks the Colosseum!

The good news is, once Oasis is part of Hyatt, you’ll be able to earn bonus points for stays at Oasis properties using your Chase Hyatt card.  Plus, when you pay with a card like the Chase Sapphire Reserve or Chase Sapphire Preferred Card, you’ll earn bonus Chase Ultimate Rewards points because it will code as a travel purchase!

And remember, if you have the Chase Sapphire ReserveSapphire Preferred, Ink Business Preferred Credit Card, or (no longer offered) Ink Bold card or Ink Plus card, you can transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards points to Hyatt to top-off your account. 😉

Plus, if you have one of the cards listed above, you can indirectly transfer points earned from the Chase FreedomChase Freedom Unlimited, and Ink Business Cash Credit Card, too!

Bottom Line

Oasis, a vacation rental service that rents over 2,000 homes, will become a part of Hyatt hotels.  Meaning you’ll soon have more ways to earn and use your Hyatt points for free stays around the world.  In popular destinations like Madrid, San Francisco, Miami, London, Buenos Aires, and more!

We do NOT know the details of how many points you’ll earn for stays or need for award nights.  But I’ll keep you posted as we learn more!

In the meantime, you can use the promotion code “UnboundxHyatt” for $100 off your first stay booked through Oasis by October 31, 2017.

What do you think about this move on Hyatt’s part?  Would you use your Hyatt points for a stay at a vacation rental?
