How I Saved Nearly 40% Off a Roller Bag Thanks to Stacking Deals (And Having an American Express Credit Card!)

INSIDER SECRET: Always check Cashback Monitor, a site that allows you to easily compare earning rates from just about every shopping portal out there, before making an online purchase.

My mom needed a new roller bag and knowing that I’m a master-deal-stacker, she came to me to help her find one. Having remembered that there was a current Amex Offer (thanks to my The Business Platinum® Card from American Express!) at eBags, we started there.

After reading through a number of reviews she decided on a carry-on sized Travelpro spinner. It was on sale for $106.99 and she also had a $10 discount code for being a new eBags customer, bringing the total to $96.99. But the Amex Offer required a purchase of $100+ to get the $20 statement credit, so I decided to get a cute toiletry bag, too.

I also used Cashback Monitor and found that TopCashback was offering 15% back on eBags purchases.

Taking into account the cash back from TopCashback, the $10 new customer coupon and the Amex Offer, I saved nearly $48 off my purchase – a savings of almost 40% off!

As you can see, Amex Offers are an excellent way to save on purchases you’re probably making anyway. Over the last number of years, I’ve undoubtedly saved $1,000s on purchases at spots like Rover, Staples, Boxed.com, Marriott, and more! Team member Jasmin just stacked an Amex Offer and the resort credit from her Hilton Honors Aspire Card from American Express to save $550 on a family trip to Hawaii.

I have three Amex cards in my wallet right now and plan on applying for the Hilton Honors Aspire Card from American Express card soon, to take advantage of some of its incredible benefits.

The good news is, three of the Amex Hilton cards are currently offering increased welcome bonuses, but these deals are only good through August 28, 2019, so if you’re looking to earn Hilton points and get a lot of great perks too, these offers are certainly worth considering:

The Hilton Honors Aspire Card from American Express offer still is the same as before, a 150,000-point bonus you can earn after spending $4,000 in the first three months of account opening.

The information for the Hilton Aspire card and Hilton Surpass card has been collected independently by Million Mile Secrets. The card details on this page have not been reviewed or provided by the card issuer.
