Rental car agency Sixt is winning awards faster than the travel industry can manufacture them. They’ve won the World Travel Awards in 14 categories, and now they’ve earned an award in the US for the favorite car rental agency among Millennials.
I’ve booked with Sixt several times before, in places like Dubai and Saint Lucia. And I like them plenty. They’re a great option for folks who want a fancy car at a discount.
And because I have a World Elite MasterCard, I can enroll and receive automatic elite status with Sixt. That means I can get a discount, add free additional drivers, and receive a free upgrade to the next car group, and a double upgrade when renting in the US.
That said, my favorite rental car company by far is National, because of the convenience that comes with Emerald Club. When you sign-up for Emerald Club, you can reserve great full-size cars for the price of a midsize. You don’t even have to wait in line at a service desk! You walk directly into the lot and choose the car you want.
And similar to Sixt, folks with a World Elite MasterCard can enroll for National Executive status and reserve much fancier cars for cheap. I almost always get a Chevy Camaro for the price of a Toyota Corolla.
Examples of World Elite Mastercard credit cards are:
- Citi® / AAdvantage® Platinum Select® World Elite™ Mastercard®
- Barclaycard Arrival Plus World Elite Mastercard
- Barclays AAdvantage® Aviator™ Red World Elite Mastercard®
- Citi Prestige® Card
- The information for the Citi AAdvantage Platinum Select and Citi Prestige card has been collected independently by Million Mile Secrets. The card details on this page have not been reviewed or provided by the card issuer.
National Executive status is one of my favorite deals in the travel industry!
And check out our posts on how to save money on rental cars, and the benefits of credit cards offering primary rental car insurance. The insurance offered by my credit card personally saved me $2,300+ during my trip to Ireland!
What’s your favorite rental car agency?
