Good news for folks in Pittsburgh!  Via One Mile at a Time, WOW Air is adding 4 weekly flights between Pittsburgh and Iceland in June 2017.  One-way fares start at $99!

And you don’t have to stop in Iceland.  You can connect onward to many destinations in Continental Europe, like London, Paris, Amsterdam, and Berlin, from $149 one-way.

I had a very good experience flying WOW Air to Iceland.  And it’s always nice to have more affordable options to get to Europe.

In June 2017, WOW Air will start flying between Pittsburgh and Iceland 4 times per week.  Fares are as low as $99 one-way in June, September, and October 2017.

Or pay as little as $149 one-way to fly onward to cities like:

  • Amsterdam
  • Berlin
  • Brussels
  • Copenhagen
  • Cork
  • Dublin
  • Edinburgh
  • Frankfurt
  • London
  • Paris
  • Stockholm

I like it when discount airlines like WOW Air launch new routes, because it increases competition and can drive prices down.  WOW Air added flights from the West Coast earlier this year and started flying from Baltimore in June 2016.

Just remember, WOW Air charges fees for things like seat selection, large carry-on bags, and checked bags.  So unless you can travel light, it’s worth comparing prices to make sure you’re getting the best deal.

Bottom Line

WOW Air will begin flying between Pittsburgh and Iceland 4 times per week, starting June 2017.  And you can cheaply connect to other destinations in Europe, too.

Fares to Iceland start at $99 one-way, and to the rest of Europe from $149 one-way.

I’m always glad to hear about new options to Europe.  But don’t forget, WOW Air charges lots of fees, so it’s worth comparing prices to make sure you’re getting the best deal.
