Marriott is running one of the best miles & points sweepstakes we’ve ever seen! Folks can enter this contest for a chance to win 3,750,000 Marriott points. Here are the details:
- You must be a member of Marriott’s loyalty program
- You’ll get 1 entry for reservations, check-ins, and mobile requests using the Marriott mobile app, through May 31, 2017. The more you book through the mobile app, the more chances you have to win!
- US residents are automatically enrolled
- Folks who are NOT US residents must register here
You don’t need to make a Marriott booking to enter this contest. You can also enter by filling out handwritten entries on 3 X 5 inch note cards (sound familiar??) with the following information:
- Full name
- Address
- Day and evening phone numbers
- Email address
- Marriott account number
- Date of birth
You can submit up to 20 note cards (so your hand won’t cramp as badly as similar promotions in the past!). But only one per envelope.
You can do a LOT with 3,750,000 Marriott points. That’s enough for 53 nights at top-tier Ritz-Carlton hotels, like the Ritz-Carlton Grand Cayman, or Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch.

Plus, because of the Marriott Starwood merger, you can transfer Marriott points to Starwood at a ratio of 3:1 (3 Marriott points = 1 Starwood point). So you can use your Marriott points for Starwood hotels, too. Or transfer your points from your Starwood account to valuable airline partners for free flights!

You can earn lots of Marriott points by applying for the Chase Marriott personal and small business cards. Both cards come with a sign-up bonus of 80,000 Marriott points after meeting minimum spending requirements.
You can also apply for the improved sign-up bonuses that come with the AMEX Starwood personal and small business cards. Until April 5, 2017, these cards come with an increased sign-up bonus of 35,000 Starwood points after meeting tiered minimum spending requirements.
Because you can transfer Starwood points to Marriott at a 1:3 ratio, these AMEX Starwood sign-up bonuses are equal to 105,000 Marriott points each!
Just remember, Chase won’t approve you for the Marriott credit cards if you’ve opened 5+ new credit cards from ANY bank in the past 24 months (excluding certain small business cards). And you won’t receive the sign-up bonus on the AMEX Starwood cards if you’ve earned them in the past.
Bottom Line
Marriott is giving away 3,750,000 Marriott points to a lucky member who enters their sweepstakes by May 31, 2017. Folks can enter multiple times by making reservations through Marriott’s mobile app. Or submitting hand written entries through the mail!
