A would-be traveler was handcuffed after his .40 caliber handgun loaded with 12 bullets was pulled out of his carry-on bag as it went through a TSA checkpoint X-ray machine at Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI).
Just 2 days prior, another man attempted to get past security with a gun. He too was stopped and arrested.
TSA contacted police, who confiscated the weapon and made the arrest. TSA reports it was the 12th gun they’ve detected at the airport’s checkpoints so far in 2018. Last year, TSA officers found 26 firearms.
