INSIDER SECRET:  When you use this card’s bonus to book 4 consecutive award nights, you’ll get the 4th night free!

Through May 1, 2019, the IHG® Rewards Club Premier Credit Card comes with a highest-ever bonus of up to 120,000 IHG points after meeting tiered minimum spending requirements:

  • 80,000 IHG points after you spend $2,000 on purchases within the first 3 months of account opening
  • An additional 40,000 IHG points after you spend another $3,000 on purchases ($5,000 in total) within the first 6 months of account opening

It also comes with an $89 annual fee, NOT waived the first year — but that’s a small price to pay for a bonus that can amount to SIXTEEN free hotel nights!  I’ll remind you what comes with the Chase IHG Premier, and quickly show you how to stretch the bonus to get the most value.

You could spend 2 weeks in Madrid for FREE with the Chase IHG Premier welcome bonus

IHG award nights cost between 10,000 and 70,000 IHG points per night.  With 120,000 IHG points, you could spend a couple of nights in a 5-star hotel like the InterContinental Paris – Avenue Marceau, which costs 60,000 points per night.  Or you could stay 12 days at a plain Jane hotel like the Holiday Inn Express Madrid – Rivas, which costs just 10,000 points per night.

PLUS, when you book 4 consecutive award nights, you’ll get the 4th award night free.  You can use this benefit for an unlimited number of stays — so if you booked four stays of 4 consecutive award nights at a lower-level hotel, you could stretch this bonus into 16 free nights!

And don’t forget the BEST benefit of this card.  Every year that you renew the card you’ll get a free night certificate.  The certificate is valid for any IHG hotel that costs 40,000 IHG points or less, and expires 12 months after it is issued.

IHG hotels are EVERYWHERE.  You’ll often find them in smaller towns where other hotel chains aren’t available, so they’re great not only for road warriors and folks who want to visit family in less popular rural destinations, but also luxury travelers looking at the other end of the market.

We don’t know how this bonus will change on May 1, 2019, but if you’ve been pondering taking advantage of it, you don’t have much longer to decide.
