A round-trip coach award ticket from the US mainland to Hawaii costs 40,000 Hawaiian Airlines miles.  So with either offer, you’d earn enough for a trip to paradise – with miles left over!

If you don’t qualify for a business card, take a look at the Barclays Hawaiian Airlines® World Elite Mastercard®.  Its sign-up bonus is the same, but you’ll have to spend $3,000 within the first 90 days of opening your account to earn the card’s 50,000-mile bonus.  And like the business version, the card’s $99 annual fee is NOT waived the first year.

The earning structure is also nearly identical, but the personal version earns 2X Hawaiian Airlines miles per $1 spent on grocery stores in place of the business card’s office supply store bonus category.

• 75,000 Hilton points – Hawaiian Airlines miles transfer to Hilton points at a 1:1.5 ratio

You can also redeem Hawaiian Airlines miles for an award seat on partner airlines like JetBlue or Virgin Atlantic.  But you’ll get the best deal when you use Hawaiian Airlines miles for flights on Hawaiian Airlines.

Not the Only Way to Earn Hawaiian Airlines Miles

Remember, you don’t need a Hawaiian Airlines card to earn Hawaiian Airlines miles!  Hawaiian Airlines is an AMEX Membership Rewards transfer partner, and you can also move points from Starwood to Hawaiian Airlines, both at a 1:1 ratio.

So if you want more Hawaiian Airlines miles, you could consider cards like:

These are a better choice if you’re looking to earn Hawaiian Airlines miles but already have a lot of Barclays cards, because Barclays typically doesn’t allow folks to open more than 1 or 2 cards a year.
