INSIDER SECRET: If you get Global Entry, you’ll get TSA PreCheck benefits as well.

This week the Capital One® Spark® Miles for Business card got a new perk. Now, when you use the card to pay for your Global Entry or TSA PreCheck application, you’ll get the fee reimbursed. TSA PreCheck costs $85 and Global Entry is $100, which makes this perk an especially nice one because the Capital One Spark Miles for Business card only has a $95 annual fee (waived the first year).

You can take advantage of this new perk once every four years.

With TSA PreCheck you can speed through airport security because you’ll have access to a dedicated PreCheck security lane (when it’s available) and you won’t have to take off your shoes, remove your laptop or liquids from your bag. Global Entry can help you speed through international customs, plus it includes TSA PreCheck benefits as well.

Current Offer for the Capital One Spark Miles for Business Credit Card

With the Capital One Spark Miles for Business card, you’ll earn 50,000 Spark miles (worth $500 in travel) after you spend $4,500 on purchases within the first three months of account opening, plus you’ll earn unlimited 2X Spark miles on all purchases. There are no foreign transaction fees.

(Don’t forget that you can also transfer Capital One miles to 15 airline partners, which could significantly increase your Capital One miles value.)

Other cards that include a TSA PreCheck/Global Entry credit with an annual fee under $100 (that’s also waived the first year) include the United℠ Explorer Card and the Capital One® Venture® Rewards Credit Card.

Can you take advantage of the free TSA benefit if you already have the card or is it only for new applicants?

Hi Betsy,

Yes, you can! You’re eligible for the credit once every 4 years. If you’re already a member of TSA PreCheck, you can just pay for someone else’s TSA PreCheck application fee and you should be reimbursed.
