Good news, especially for those of you who fly through Philadelphia a lot!

Via One Mile at a Time, there’s a new Centurion Lounge coming to the Philadelphia airport (PHL).

Lots of folks appreciate airport lounge access, because you get free Wi-Fi, access to desks and outlets, and food and drinks!

I’ll share what I know about the new AMEX Centurion Lounge at the Philadelphia airport.

Philadelphia Airport Centurion Lounge

Construction for the new Centurion Lounge at the Philadelphia airport (PHL) is set to start early this year, and the lounge is scheduled to open August 3, 2017.

This is great news for folks who travel through Philadelphia on a regular basis, because there are no Priority Pass lounges there.  Only American Airlines Admirals Club lounges, a Delta Sky Club, a United Club, and a British Airways lounge.

Having other lounge options is nice, because they’re great spots to get work done, grab a snack, and relax before your flight.  And because they can get busy and crowded, especially during peak travel times!

Currently, there are only 7 airports with an AMEX Centurion Lounge:

So I’m very happy to see they’re expanding to other airports!

If you ever have the opportunity, I recommend checking one out.  I thought the San Francisco Centurion Lounge was terrific!

Credit Cards That Give You Access to Centurion Lounges

Folks are always asking about which credit card is the best for airport lounge access.  And whether or not they’re worth it.

The good news is, getting into an airport lounge isn’t that hard!

These cards give you access to Centurion Lounges:

Don’t forget, there’s a limited-time 100,000 AMEX Membership Rewards point offer for the AMEX Business Platinum card that expires January 25, 2017.  So if you’ve been considering this card, now is a great time to apply!

If you decide to get one of the AMEX Platinum cards (or if you already have one!), you can read my post explaining how to find airport lounges you can access with AMEX Platinum cards.

Bottom Line

There’s a new AMEX Centurion Lounge coming to the Philadelphia airport by the end of Summer 2017.

This is good news for folks who travel through Philadelphia a lot.  And I’m happy to see the AMEX Centurion Lounge Collection expanding to more locations.

Do you have any airports on your Centurion Lounge wish list?
