Through April 5, 2017, you can earn up to 35,000 Starwood points on the personal and small business versions of the Starwood Preferred Guest American Express cards after meeting tiered minimum spending requirements.
That’s an amazing deal! Because 35,000 Starwood points is enough for an award night at the most luxurious Category 7 Starwood hotels, like W Bali – Seminyak. And more than enough for a round-trip coach ticket within the US on Starwood’s airline transfer partners like Delta and American Airlines!

You can also use Starwood points for unique experiences with SPG Moments.
What Are SPG Moments?

SPG Moments are another way you can redeem Starwood points. And what’s neat about SPG Moments is that some of them can’t be bought anywhere else!Moments include VIP tickets to concerts, chances to meet your favorite celebrity chef, or seats at popular sporting events.
For example, you can get VIP access for 2 to the John Mayer concert at Madison Square Garden on April 5, 2017, for 55,000 Starwood points. That includes seating in a luxury suite and free food and drinks!

Or if sports is more your thing, you could buy 2 tickets in Starwood’s Luxury Suite for the LA Lakers vs. Sacramento Kings game at the STAPLES Center for 25,000 Starwood points.
Here’s How It Works
You can use Starwood points to buy SPG Moments at a fixed price, or at an auction.
The fixed price options are first-come, first-served. But the auctions have deadlines, and the prize goes to the highest bidder.
You can search the SPG Moments listings by “auction” or “fixed price”, location, dates, point range, or keywords.

A lot of times, the auction items are some of the higher-priced moments. Like trips that would normally cost thousands of dollars.
For example, when I wrote this post, the bid for a 17-day trip for 2 around Norway with Lindblad Expeditions and National Geographic (including flights to Oslo!) was up to 320,500 Starwood points. But the cash price of these tickets is easily ~$16,500+ per person.
So you’d be saving a LOT using your Starwood points for this SPG Moment!

Bottom Line
SPG Moments are a great way to use your Starwood points for priceless experiences and fun memories. You can attend sports events, see live theater, concerts, and more, all over the world! New moments are added often, so keep checking. Because oftentimes, you won’t find opportunities like these anywhere else!
And don’t forget, if you need a place to stay while you’re enjoying an SPG Moment, you can redeem Starwood points for free nights. Or transfer your points to airline partners for award tickets!
Plus, through April 5, 2017, you can earn up to 35,000 Starwood points with the personal and small business AMEX Starwood cards after meeting tiered minimum spending requirements.
