If you’re planning a vacation and looking to stay at a hotel with great views and easy access to a beach, you should definitely consider a Hilton hotel. They have incredible properties on top beaches in the US where you can stay for free with Hilton Honors points.

Plus, consider boosting your Hilton points balance, with the four Amex Hilton cards below:

You can generally book standard award rooms at Hilton hotels for 5,000-95,000 points per night, and Hilton provides a Points Explorer tool to help you figure out the minimum and maximum number of points you’ll need to book a certain hotel.

Finding great deals on beachfront properties can sometimes be difficult, partially because they can be quite popular. But we’ve done the research and found Hilton hotels that will offer you quick access to the beach, and with a decent value to boot!

I’ll show you some of the best US beach Hilton hotels with points.

5 of the Best US Beach Hilton Hotels You Can Book With Points

The number of Hilton points you’ll need to redeem for a free night will vary depending on the hotel and what dates you’ll be staying. Based on what many other people have found, the general consensus is that on average, Hilton points are worth 0.5 cents each.

With that in mind, you’ll find that the hotels on this list have received excellent reviews on TripAdvisor, have either a beachfront location or are within walking distance of a beach and offer you decent value per point for your redemption.

1. Grand Wailea, A Waldorf Astoria Resort

If you’re like most people, beaches are probably one of the first things to come to mind when you think about Hawaii. The Grand Wailea, a Waldorf Astoria Resort is a luxury beachfront resort in Maui and has excellent reviews on TripAdvisor. Team member Jasmin stayed here with her family using Hilton points and received the fifth night free because she has Hilton status from the Amex Hilton Aspire card.

The hotel has easy access to Wailea beach, which has been voted one of the best beaches in America. This is a great hotel to book for a number of different types of travelers, whether you’re on a honeymoon, traveling with a family, or just looking for a relaxing vacation on your own — you’re bound to have a great stay here. It’s within walking distance to a number of different restaurants and other attractions.

You can book a stay here for 95,000 Hilton points per night. Cash prices are often $600 or more per night, so you could get over 0.6 cents per point in value.

2. The Waterfront Beach Resort, a Hilton Hotel

Surfing enthusiasts will love The Waterfront Beach Resort hotel, as it’s located in the heart of Surf City USA in Huntington Beach, California. You’ll be treated to a great view of the Pacific thanks to its oceanfront location, and you’re sure to enjoy your stay here as over 2,400+ people have rated this hotel highly on TripAdvisor.

And if you’re a fan of food, you will have plenty of options. There are dozens of restaurants within walking distance, so you could probably even go without needing to rent a car. Those traveling with kids will also enjoy this hotel as it is one of the best family-favorite beach hotels in the country, and is just a short 30-minute ride to Disneyland.

Even at a beachfront property, you can score a great deal, like this one where redeeming 80,000 Hilton points instead of paying $459 cash yields an above-average redemption value of nearly 0.6 cents per point.

You can book a night here starting at 80,000 Hilton points, or around $460 per night.

3. Hilton Marco Island Beach Resort and Spa

Hawaii isn’t the only place in the US that has great beaches. The Hilton Marco Island Beach Resort and Spa, located in Florida, has also been rated highly by TripAdvisor, and it’s within walking distance to the Florida beach.

Of course, with a hotel located so close to the beach, you’ll enjoy great views of the ocean from your room with a private balcony. Many reviewers also rave about the quality of service they received from the hotel staff.

Based on availability I found in early December, you could redeem 99,000 Hilton points for rooms that cost over $400.

Award nights start around 80,000 points per night, which can save you anywhere from $400-$500 per night.

4. Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort

If you’re worried about overcrowding on the beach, you might consider The Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort because it’s located on the widest stretch of beach in Waikiki. Plus, every Friday, guests at the hotel are treated to a fireworks show right on Waikiki beach!

The hotel is rated highly on TripAdvisor, with 4.5 stars for their location and cleanliness. You won’t have to really worry about needing a car for getting around, because it’s so centrally located that you’ll be within walking distance to over 50 restaurants and 20 attractions within a 0.3 mile radius.

You’ll typically pay 60,000 Hilton points per night here, and save over $300 or more compared to paying cash, depending on the season.

5. Hilton Pensacola Beach

If you’re looking for a great location, you should definitely check out the Hilton Pensacola Beach hotel. Guests on TripAdvisor have given the hotel five stars for its location, and if that’s not convincing enough, the hotel has also earned TripAdvisor’s Certificate of Excellence in recognition for its consistency of top-rated reviews from customers.

You can enjoy a number of amenities the hotel offers, such as a pool, bar, gym and a number of restaurants located within walking distance. If you want to really relax, room service is always an option so you can enjoy a meal while overlooking the Florida beach.

Based on availability I found, you could book a room starting at around 80,000 Hilton points per night, saving you at least $300 in cash.

Bottom Line

Hilton Honors points can be extremely valuable, especially when you take advantage of the fifth night free on award stays of five consecutive nights or more (if you have any level of Hilton status, which you’ll get automatically from the Amex Hilton cards). You can also quickly earn more Hilton points with the current welcome offers:

  • Hilton Honors American Express Card – Earn 80,000 Hilton Honors bonus points after you spend $1,000 in purchases on the card in the first three months of card membership.
  • Hilton Honors American Express Surpass® Card – Earn 130,000 Hilton Honors bonus points after you spend $2,000 in purchases on the card in the first three months of card membership.
  • Hilton Honors American Express Aspire Card — 150,000 Hilton points after spending $4,000 on purchases in the first three months of account opening
  • The Hilton Honors American Express Business Card – Earn 130,000 Hilton Honors bonus points reward after you spend $3,000 in purchases on the card in the first three months of card membership.

You’ll typically get a value from Hilton points of around 0.5 cents each, and you can squeeze even more from your points at beachfront properties, depending on where you’ll be staying and your dates of travel.
