My husband and I recently each opened up a Delta gold business and personal card (4 cards total). Each card has a $50 statement credit for Delta purchase made within the first 3 months. We purchased a trip to Mexico a few months ago through Delta vacations and I'm wondering if I could pay $50 off of the trip on each card to get the $50 statement credit on each card? Even though we would be paying off the same trip with all of the cards? Thanks!

@Adi, Will see. Thank you. At least, we got more than what they normally offer. 🙂

@Emily, Thanks for the update.

I did asked Amex and they responded that they can't match the offer.

They adviced me to contact Delta and I have done the same.

Lets wait.......

@Adi, I just finished asking AMEX for the same thing as I am in the same boat with you (I applied less than one month ago). They don't match promo as they have different promo every day according to them. Oh, well...

Using the links in your post, the 60K offer comes up for my husband and for me. However, the footnotes say it is only if you have not had this product before.

Right now we both have the Delta options card ( .5 mile/$1) - I think we originally had the Skymiles Gold way back in 2000 and then downgraded it at some point (when fee was due or after a year of paying the fee). However, there does not seem to be a way to tell this info from our Amex accounts. Usually we just get messages to "Upgrade" our account to the Skymiles Gold at a significantly reduced number of miles. Don't want to apply if we won't get the full 60K (which would finally give us enough miles to (hopefully) get an award.

How can we find out if Amex knows if we have had the Gold Skymiles previously?
