Do you use your AMEX Platinum card to visit airport lounges for free? You’ve now got a few more options!
This perk applies to folks who have any version of the AMEX Platinum card, including The Platinum Card® from American Express, The Platinum Card® from American Express Exclusively for Mercedes-Benz, and The Enhanced Business Platinum® Card from American Express OPEN.
But don’t get too excited. There are only 3 Escape Lounges in the US. And one is a Priority Pass lounge, which means folks with AMEX Platinum cards already have access through the free Priority Pass Select membership you get with the card.

That said, if you’ve enrolled in Priority Pass Select (a free benefit of the AMEX Platinum cards), you already have access to the Escape Lounge at Minneapolis – St. Paul! So this is really a new benefit in Hartford and Oakland only.
This is great news if you’re an AMEX Platinum cardholder and fly through Hartford or Oakland frequently. But the Minneapolis – St. Paul location is already a Priority Pass Select lounge, which comes free with AMEX Platinum cards.
