I recently told you about the increased limited-time offer for the Gold Delta SkyMiles® Credit Card.  But today, via Reddit, there’s a way to get an even BETTER offer for this card!

Better Offer For The Gold Delta AMEX

Don’t Use My Link! Instead Use This Simple Method to Find the Better Offer

The offer is the same as the one I wrote about except instead of a $50 statement credit when you make a Delta purchase in the first 3 months of opening your account, you can get a $100 credit.  The offer expires July 6, 2016.

Here’s how to get the better bonus!

Go to delta.com and make a test booking.

Go through the steps to book a flight.  And before you pay, you’ll see an advertisement for the Gold Delta American Express card.

I’ll gladly skip the commission from my affiliate link because Emily and I always want you to get the best deal!

  1. MMS or anyone, any other decent sign up bonus CCs to apply & combine credit pull the same time with this Amex Delta? TIA

  3. So I have 2 options for Delta card
    * take this 50K + $100 offer, or
    * use my wife’s referral link to get 50K + $50, and she gets 10K points
Which is better? (both have $2K/3 months spend reqmt)

Another option is both of us apply for the BOfA Alaska air – 30K + $100 each (with annual fee of course, effectively making it $25). – spnd reqmt $1K/3 months)

I am currently meeting min spend for another card too, so 2K in the next 3 months is what I can safely commit to.

  4. @dan there’s a 50k bonus on the business gold ch
Charge floating around. Got mine this past weekend. Just saw it at 50k yesterday so just keep checking, it will change between 25k and 50k

  5. Hello, is this offer applicable to Business Gold also ?

  6. Daraius,
Will a $50 Delta e-cert trigger the $100 statement credit?

  7. @Nick
It did for my wife last year, YMMV.

  8. Will paying the $11.20 taxes for a domestic award flight on delta trigger the $100 credit?

  9. Captain Hooks

The wording says $100 credit when you make a delta purchase. So doe any purchase trigger 100 statement credit, or do you have to spend $100?

  10. Does the Delta promo require a “Delta purchase” in addition to the $2K spend in first 3 month, or just the $2K spend in first 3 months to get the mileage bonus? Or is the Delta purchase just a secondary incentive?

  11. I used this method and just got approved for this card today. They called me to verify some information because I have a fraud alert on my credit report. I believe the Delta purchase is a secondary incentive, only available when using this method to apply for the card.

I asked about the $100 credit, specifically, what is a qualifying Delta purchase, and they said it is anything directly with Delta, such as paying for food on a flight. Since my tickets for September were booked 2 months before getting this card, and I don’t have plans to book another flight in the next 90 days, I didn’t ask about taxes, or about buying a Delta gift card. I will plan on a small food purchase on my flight to meet the requirement.
