1. Get an Easy 150 Starwood Points for Updating Your Profile
Earn 150 Starwood points for updating 4 security questions on your account profile by October 31, 2015.
The points will show up in your account in November. You must use this link to update the questions, and it only works if you opened your account before October 9, 2015.
Starwood points will expire after 12 months if you have not stayed in a Starwood hotel or if you have not earned or redeemed any Starwood hotel points. So this is an easy way to extend your points expiration, and earn some Starwood points, too!
2. Save 20% and Get a $50 Daily Credit at Fairmont Hotels When You Pay With an AMEX Card
When you use your AMEX card to pay for a stay at a participating Fairmont hotel through October 31, 2015, you’ll get 20% off the room rate, and a $50 daily credit added to your room for things like room service, meals, or spa service at the hotel.
This deal is valid for stays through February 29, 2016. Note that you must pre-pay for your stay and bookings are non-refundable.
Here are a few hotels on the list I found interesting:
- Fairmont Chicago
- Fairmont Kea Lani
- Fairmont Washington D.C., Georgetown
- Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise
- Fairmont Singapore
- Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club
Each hotel sets their own blackout dates and restrictions for the $50 daily credit, so be sure to check the terms and conditions before you book. This promotion is only for new bookings.
Make sure promotion code “PAMX” is applied to your booking. If you book through the promotion page, it should be applied automatically.
3. Get ~33% Bonus Points on Transfers From Citi ThankYou to Hilton
Link: Citi Prestige Card
Via View From the Wing, when you transfer your Citi ThankYou points to Hilton through January 6, 2016, you’ll get ~33% more points in your Hilton account.
Normally, the transfer ratio is 1,000 Citi ThankYou points to 1,500 Hilton points. But with this deal, you’ll earn 2,000 Hilton points for every 1,000 Citi ThankYou points you transfer.
This could be a good deal if you’re close to an award stay at Hilton hotels, or for folks who have a particular award stay in mind.
That said, the best use of Citi ThankYou points is to transfer them to airline partners for Big Travel.
For example, you could transfer your points instead to Singapore Airlines, then use them for United Airlines award tickets (because they’re both part of Star Alliance), like:
- A round-trip, coach ticket within North America for 25,000 miles
- A round-trip, Business Class ticket within North America for 40,000 miles
- A round-trip, coach ticket from North America to Hawaii for 35,000 miles
- A round-trip, Business Class ticket from North America to Hawaii for 60,000 miles
Check out all the ways to earn Hilton points if you need more!
4. Earn 10,000 Bonus Club Carlson Points per Night
Through December 31, 2015, earn 10,000 extra Club Carlson points per night at participating hotels in:
- North America
- Central America
- South America
- The Caribbean
Be sure promotion code “MEGAPTS” is applied when you book 1 of the hotels on the list.
Keep in mind the promotional rate is often higher than the best available rate, so you’ll have to decide if the price difference is worth an extra 10,000 Club Carlson points.
If you have a stay coming up with Club Carlson, this is an easy way to earn a lot of extra points! If you don’t already have a Club Carlson account, it’s free to join.
Folks with the the US Bank Club Carlson card, will also earn 30 Club Carlson points per $1 spent on your stay (10 Club Carlson points per $1 spent for having the card and 20 Club Carlson points per $1 spent, plus 35% bonus points for having Club Carlson Gold elite status, which comes with the card)!
