And paying with your eligible AMEX earns you 2X American Express Membership Rewards points per $1.

Some folks are waiting to see if a bonus will be offered, like there was during the Southwest and AirTran merger.  But time is running out!

Save on Virgin America Flights by Referring Friends

Send an email inviting 3 friends to join the Virgin America frequent flyer program.  Then you’ll receive a 2 for 1 promotional code via email and your friends will each get a promotional code good for up to 20% off the base fare of your paid 2 flights.

Your friends will save 20% for flights on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday.  And they’ll get 10% off flights on Monday, Thursday, and Friday.

Both offers are good for new bookings made online at Virgin America by April 8, 2015, at 11:59 pm Pacific Time for travel from April 7, 2015, to June 6, 2015.  However, enrollment is limited!

This deal is not good for travel on Sundays.  Blackout dates include:

  • May 22, 2015
  • May 25, 2015

Remember, Virgin America has other ways you can save on flights:

Get bonus points on your flight when you pay with cards like:

4.   Save 30% on IHG Hotels in Mexico (Ends Soon!)

Save 30% on Your Stay at the Presidente Cancun Resort

Book by March 16, 2015, for stays through June 15, 2015.  You must be an IHG Rewards member staying at least 2 nights, but no more than 7 nights to get the discount.

IHG Flash Sale hotels typically sell out quickly!  So if you find a hotel on sale that fits into your travel plans, don’t hesitate to book.  That’s because you can usually cancel IHG hotels without penalty (but check the cancellation policy before you book!).

Remember to use a card that will give you bonus points for your stay such as:

5.   Up to 4,000 Starwood Bonus Points (Targeted)

Deals We Like reports you can earn bonus points on your 1st and 2nd stays at Starwood hotels through May 31, 2015.  This deal is supposed to be only for new Starwood members who receive the offer email.

  1. You can also get $30 off on your first ride with UBER with promo code 69bzm

  2. Do these codes work for transactions in Europe? I will be traveling to UK and other European countries and wondering if these will give a discount for transactions in Euros or Pounds? If not, does anyone have a first time rider code for these currencies?

  3. Why is “time running out” to link your US AIR & America miles accounts?
    I don’t get it?
What is the incentive to link them early vs. wait to see if there is a bonus to link them later?
Either way you will not loose any miles so why do it early?
