  1. this is targeted.

  2. Sad, doesn’t work for me! 🙁 Clearly I’m not targeted

  3. Awesome, it worked for me!

I previously had an AmEx card in my Amazon payment history, I wonder if that may have been a trigger?

  4. Has the redemption factor changed? As you pointed out in earlier articles, this tends to be a poor use of MR, as you get 0.7c per point. So only worth doing where you pay very little with points.

  5. Didn’t work for me 🙁

  6. Bought a gift card and paid with 1 point (redemption rate stinks). This was a nice little deal. Thanks for sharing.

  7. I was able to get $20 using one of my Amex cards that earns Membership Rewards. Does anyone know if I can use my other Amex card that also earns points for another $20 off?

  8. Nevermind, it’s pretty hidden in one of the many terms and conditions listed:
    2. Limit one promotion code per eligible customer.

  9. My Blue Cash Preferred also does not work.

“Cards such as the Delta SkyMiles® Credit Card, Blue Cash® from American Express, Hilton Honors® Card from American Express, Starwood Preferred Guest® Credit Card from American Express and JetBlue Card from American Express do not participate in the Membership Rewards program and are not eligible for Shop with Points.”

  10. I had 107 points left in the AMEX MR account and was going to throw it away pretty much. I purchased a $25 Starbucks gift card for $4.26 in the end. Thank you so much for sharing!

  11. Didn’t work for my AMEX Plat Biz and AMEX Blue.

  12. Great tip! Bought a $25 gift card (starbucks) and had no problem with the code.

  13. Does anyone know if this deal has worked with the Amex Gold Business Rewards card?

  14. Amex Gold didn’t seam to work for me. I already had it in amazon points so maybe that was the problem? Any one else have same issue?

  15. Tried to buy an amazon gift card but that didn’t work, will have to try Starbucks.

  16. Amazon Gift Cards seem to be excluded, even though that’s not explicit in their rules (they only say that “some digital products” may be excluded). It doesn’t matter how many points are used towards purchasing the card.
