My affiliate link to the Chase Marriott Premier card offers 50,000 Marriott points after spending $1,000 within 3 months & 1 free night in a category 1 to 4 Marriott hotel after approval.

But I want to share a potentially better offer to the Chase Marriott Premier card, which also gets you a $75 statement credit!

Thanks to Million Mile Secrets reader Dennis for sharing this!  As always, I updated the Hotel Credit Card tab with a link to this post so that you only find the best credit card offers on Million Mile Secrets regardless of whether or not they earn me a commission.

Here’s a direct link to the application, but if it doesn’t work follow the directions below to get to it.

 Step 1 –

Go to

Step 2 – Search For a Paid Room

Search for a room in any city for any date.

Chase Marriott Premier

Search For a Marriott Room

Step 3

Select a hotel and click on  “View Rates

Step 4

Select a room and click “Continue

Enter all the information including your credit card information (you won’t be charged) and click “Continue” again.

You should see the offer in the right side of the screen.  You don’t have to complete the reservation to see the offer.

The terms say “This one-time bonus offer is valid only for first-time Marriott Rewards Credit Card Cardmembers with new accounts.”

Bottom Line:  I don’t know if this will work for everyone, but it’s worth a try to save $75 if you’re applying for the Chase Marriott card soon!

  1. Of course I just applied a few days ago using the old link, worth a shot to request the $75 statement credit via secure message?

  2. Your credit card disclosures & willingness to share so prominently better non affiliate links are really growing on me…and to my good side! I wish other bloggers will imitate you (they won’t).
    Nice job!

  3. how to send the secure message?

  4. What? George with positive comments toward MMS? Did the Mayan Calendar have it wrong? Is today the end? I cant believe it!

  5. Rob, I did exactly what you’re asking. I was making my reservation, jumped out to apply via Darius’s card link, then came back to finish my reservation and saw the better $75 offer. I’d already been approved for the other deal. I called Chase and asked about the $75 offer.

They said they could do it two different ways. 1, since I hadn’t yet activated the card (I had not yet received it) they could simply cancel it and reprocess the application with the $75 offer, with instant approval since the other had been approved. He said they would NOT do another credit-check pull. This would be the fastest way to do it, but I was needing the card for an upcoming stay at Marriott and they wouldn’t be able to get me the new card in time.

What he did instead was an “escalation” for customer service to secure the credit. He said he was able to see the $75 offer so would submit it for approval, but it was going to take longer. He couldn’t process it immediately since the account wasn’t yet showing up in their system because I had not yet received and activated the card. So now that I have it I’ll just have to follow-up to make sure I receive the credit.

    Hope this helps!

  6. @ Darius (MMS),
Thank you…another $75 in my account 🙂 – I applied for this card without the statement credit in Nov….
btw – I’m typing this comment, from a Marriot hotel 😀 – needless to say it was booked with the points from that card I just mentioned 😉

    @Rob Ontell,
I sent a secure message to Chase last night…and by the time I woke up…I saw a response saying that they issued a statement credit. Good Luck.

  7. @Rob Ontell
I sent a secure message to Chase and they issued the $75 statement credit. Here’s what they said:

As your credit card company, we value your business and
appreciate this opportunity to assist you with your
inquiry regarding your Marriott Rewards credit card

Our records show that the application you submitted offers
70,000 bonus points with $1,000 in net purchases in the
first 3 months of the account opening.

With the continual changes and promotional offers for many
credit card products we at Chase will always consider
allowing the newest promotion to be applied to any
qualified accounts that were opened within the previous 90
    days of the offer.

I have reviewed the open date on the account, the account
is qualified to participate in the new enrollment
promotion and therefore I was able to honor your request.
A $75.00 enrollment statement credit has been added to the

    Thank you for choosing Chase!

So anyone who got the card within the last 90 days can get the $75 statement credit.

@ Darius – thanks for the information. It pays ($75) to subscribe to your blog!

  8. @Style,
Could you let us know how you got 70,000 points, please? was it an online link or was it a targetted offer?

That may be another opportunity for me to get another 20,000 Marriott Rewards points 🙂

    Thanks in advance.

  9. I received the statement credit for my account and a choice of the same credit or 20,000 points for my wife’s account this morning. Points please!

  10. I applied Chase Freedom in December. How many months should I wait before applying for another Chase card? I see Citibank 3/4 months but no info on Chase?

  11. @John,
I’m in the same boat…the Chase rep asked me if I want the credit or the additional 20K points…and I voted for points 🙂

Thanks to @Darius and @Style for their inputs/info on this.

I don’t think there is any such rule for Chase…but you may have to call their credit reconsideration line if you don’t get instant approval…my $0.02

  12. Any idea how long this offer will last?

  13. Just received $75 statement credit in my Chase Marriott account. Thanks, D.

  14. @Srini – It was a targeted offer that came in the mail. I had to enter a 12-digit invitation number, my zipcode and my last name at

  15. @Style,
Thanks for the response. I got the additional 20k points….and Chase took back the $75 statement.

  17. Signed up for 50k bonus & $75 statement credit. Sent Chase a SM asking for the 70k bonus. Chase said I could still have the 70k bonus but not the $75 credit…for those of you wondering. I opted for the points.

  18. Hi,

I also just got approved for the 50000 points plus 75 credit promotion. I was wondering whether to request for the 70000 points offer now or wait for the 50000 to be posted and then request for the additional 20000. Any help is appreciated.
