1. 1,000 Free United Miles. Just Another Points Traveler writes that you can get 1,000 free United miles by registering with Bckstgr and syncing your Twitter, Facebook, and Foursquare accounts.
2. American Express SkyGuide Lounge Pass Restriction. I wrote earlier that the American Express SkyGuide program was a good cheap way to get airport lounge access.
Well, starting from January 1, 2013, Frequent Flyer University says that you can only get reimbursed for 1 lounge pass per calendar month. This means that if you have a return trip with the start and end dates in the same month, you will get reimbursed for only 1 lounge pass for the entire trip.
The changes aren’t ideal, but even if you submit a reimbursement for 1 lounge pass (~$50), you still come out ahead after the $19.99 annual fee. But the SkyGuide program certainly isn’t as valuable as it used to be with these changes.
3. American Express Membership Rewards 30% Transfer Bonus to British Airways. The Points Guy explains the American Express Membership Rewards 30% transfer bonus to British Airways which ends on January 14, 2013.
