Quick & Easy Chase Pay Deal: $5 Restaurant Discount for Valentine’s Day – Stacks With Other Offers

Signing up for credit cards through partner links earns us a commission. Terms apply to the offers listed on this page. Here’s our full advertising policy: How we make money.

Update: One or more card offers in this post are no longer available. Check our Hot Deals for the latest offers.

Through the Chase Pay app you can get a $5 discount at select restaurants on Valentine’s Day (February 14th).  Although none of the locations I’m seeing the offer for are particularly romantic, it’s still a nice way to pick-up a cheap lunch.  And you’ll be able to combine this deal with 1 or 2 other discounts (depending on what you’re targeted for).

To get the discount you’ll have to pay with the Chase Pay app, which means you’ll need to use a Chase branded card, like the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card as an example.

I’ll explain the terms.

Chase Pay will save you a bit of cash this Valentine’s Day

Chase Pay Valentine’s Day Discount

To get the $5 discount you’ll need to login to your Chase Pay app.  Under the “Order Ahead” or “Food for thought” section you can scroll through nearby restaurants you can use Chase Pay at.

As you’re scrolling, look for a gold checkmark with the number of offers that restaurant is participating in.  All of the restaurants in my app have at least 1 offer.  This is the offer to earn a $10 Chase Pay credit for making 3 qualifying purchases at eligible restaurants.  This deal will stack with the Valentine’s Day discount.

To see which restaurant will give you $5 off look for locations that have 2 or more offers listed.  Then click to see a list of the specific offers.  This deal is called “Chase Pay V-Day Treat.”

If you happen to find a restaurant that also has a Chase Offer you should be able to stack that discount on top of the others.  Right now I’ve got a 10% discount for Five Guys on my Chase Freedom card and I’m also seeing the Valentine’s Day offer for Five Guys as well.  So I could stack 2 Chase Pay promos and the Chase Offer for 10%.  I’m not sure if there are any other restaurants that all 3 promos apply to.

To get the deal you’ll have to either order ahead through the Chase Pay app or pay with a QR code (the square one) with the app.  I suggest paying ahead because not every restaurant can accept QR code payments.

Also, for the Chase Pay deals I mentioned, Chase Pay transactions that go through Samsung Pay won’t qualify.
